Sorry for the one question thread, but I've having trouble tracking any information down. I'd heard a rumor that Masterpiece Prime would be re-issued, but I never heard anything more than that. Can anyone help? If he is being reissued, when?

 

I don't think it was the MP Prime being re-released....I think Hasbro said that they were re-releasing their version, the 20th Anniversary Prime to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the movie. I may be wrong on the reason, however I am pretty sure they said they are re-releaseing the hasbro version sometime this year.

 

Ok, well, that's what I meant. I was looking to buy one but all the 20th Anniversaries are $100 on ebay. Bleh.

 

If I remember correctly, it was stated at Toyfair that Hasbro was rereleasing a version of 20th Anniversary Optimus with a slightly different paintjob and a DVD of Transformers: The Movie included, for about $80 or $90. A bit pricey, but not a bad deal if you don't have the movie and still a better deal than the $100+shipping you'd be paying on eBay. I'm waiting for the rerelease myself, having missed the original release. I think September or October was the slated release date.

 

It'll be hard to wait that long and I'll probably break down and buy one before then, but thanks!
