Youre right about those headsculpts. That always bothered me. Everything else on them i dug. I replaced the heads and really dig them now. Enough that i doubt ill replace them with the DS, i just cant be bothered, especially as i have acid storm too. Headsculpts on the coneheads are good though
Still need new head for acid storm (just got skycrow and used it for him)

 

I just miss their chug offerings. I enjoyed collecting their combiners more than anything else.

Yeah it's the same for me at this point, plus add Jazz inevitably getting replaced by FT. My MT Visualizer is the last holdout, but I might end up swapping to FT if Spotter gets reissued.


(That said, I still wish they would finish the Coneheads just so I would have an option in my back pocket just in case DS never does them)

Gah! Every time I pack up Endgame to sell him, I hear something that rekindles a sputtering spark of hope. Because while DS01 may have dethroned Meteor, Endgame is still the best looking Conehead out there and I really, REALLY want those other two.

For me, it really depends who is the 1st to come to market at this moment after the extended wait. If DS releases their coneheads before MT, I will most likely switch to DS for coneheads.

 

If anyone here has a Galaxy Meteor they're interested in selling, hit me up. I still have my supreme starscream but it would be nice to have something a little more modern for my MP shelf.

Agreed, but it could be a while for any DS coneheads. With one of three already out, it's still better odds on MT finishing the set before DS even starts them.

 

Yeah there are still some things that maketoys does better than DS and hastak. I actually wish maketoys would make a more toon accurate head upgrade for their meteor that allows it to transform. I think that would even make it better than hastak mp52 giving fans great aesthetics , articulaion and transformation at a lower price point.

 

This is karma for them killing off the Dinobots in their Cross Dimension line and making them as body-armour for the Seekers.

 

Here in Malaysia we've seen a flood of older Maketoys stuff like Thunder Manus on deep clearance discount, so i'm thinking the company is purging the rest of their assets.

I'm just so bummed we didn't get their Cross Dimension Rodimus and Galvatron.

 

Thank you for posting pics of these I’ve been eyeing them. Seeing them in your pics makes me think I won’t have to try and dump my three seekers. Besides the current market seems to be flooded and sadly I paid quite the late tax on Thundercracker. So genuinely thanks.

Disappointing but not surprising. I'm lucky that the MT headmasters fit in well with the Fanshobby line, so those are keepers.
