So far I like the Animated toys I've purchased. Every one of them has lived up to expectations. But I've heard no shortage of complaints about Voyager Megatron and I already have the Leader version to represent the character on my shelf. Is the criticism justified or does the Voyager toy still have its merits? Should I pick it up or spend my meager savings on other figures in the line?
The deluxe/2-pack version is a lot better colored and is more solid as well. If you have to get a Cybertronian version, get the Battle Begins 2-pack.
I personally like it, but I think I'm in the minority. If you already have the Leader class then there's no reason to get the voyager unless you REALLY his cybertronian mode.
Yeah, I like it too. It's one of the weaker Animated offerings, IMO, but I can't deny it has a certain charm. The cannon mount design could have been better, and the alt-mode is somewhat lacking, but the robot mode looks really good. The color pallet and robot dimensions give him a very regal appearance. If I had to pick only one Animated Megatron, though, it would be Leader / Earth Mode.
That depends. Its not as good as the leader but if you want a Cybertronian mode Megatron yes, I like figure.
I don't know if the QC problem is universal, but both of my two-pack guys were extremely loose. To the point where they can't stand without extra support. I normally have them in alt mode. My voyager Megatron is also pretty loose, but not nearly as bad.
Voyager = Good Don't really know why so many people hate on him. Maybe it's cuz of his huge arm cannon that out-weighs him but other than that his bot mode is awesome. If you have Cybertron Prime, get Cybertron Megatron, it just makes sense
I'd just grab the two pack version man, that Megatron is alot nicer and show accurate (minus the battle damage). Also you get the better axe for your Voyager Prime out of it
No and here's why: I had both the two pack and the Voyager Megs. After I opened the voyager Megs and realized how little difference there was between the Voyager and deluxe Megs, I packaged it back up and took it back to the store. The main design problem I had with Voyager Megs was how the arm cannon is horibly placed on the arm. The only problem i had with the two pack, was the battle damage.
anything other than leader class is a step down imo. leader class megs is one of the coolest animated offerings and is head and shoulders above his other animated incarnations.
It's not as good as Leader Megatron, but it's still a good figure IMO. You don't need him if you have Leader, but I still reccomend him.
