Is it time to go back to TF Beasts after the movie?

I don't know if this is just in my area, but it seems like all the Jungle Planet TFs are selling out much faster than the other Cybertron toys. Out of the big pallet that Wal-Mart came out with in December, what's left are a ton of Thunderblasts, a moderate amount of Crosswises, and NO Brimstones. Undermine, Wreckloose, Backstop, Leobreaker, and to a lesser extent Snarl and Scourge sell out pretty quickly, too. In fact, it seems that nearly all of the shelfwarmers are Earth planet TFs, the realistic vehicles-- the aforementioned Thunderblast, Mudflap, Evac, and up until recently Landmine and Red Alert. The Speed Planet and Cybertron TFs sell somewhere in between.

Is this just my area? Has anyone else noticed a similar pattern with Cybertron TF sales? If this is widespread, me thinks Hasbro should start focusing more on beasts again and less on realistic vehicles...

I don't think the beast formers sell well everywhere. Might be just your area. TRU Times Square has a crapload of beasts sitting there the last few times I checked.

Well, probably not. Beasts tend to be shelfwarmers here, too.

But dammit... I want Beast Modes back as the main scheme. Realistic, organic Beast Modes. I'm sick of cars and planes and the like and really tired of "cyborgs."

See, that would just KILL my wallet. It's already on life support due to me tracking down all the original Beast Warriors... not to mention the 10th Anniversary figures... so why not a whole new line or two of organic beasts to finally put it out of its misery? :D

I don't know if a new Beast show would really work, BW was indeed hugely popular back in the day, TV show wise, and toys were also popular...but there's always a bigger desire for robots turning into vehicles, it's just more 'mechancical' looking than a beast does....i like beasts TFs, but i wouldn't really want a full-line of them, i like them being sub-groups.

The only problem with the Beast was there are only so many ways to have an animal turn into a robot.
Perhaps, there could be a six to eight month line of beasts, like the G1 Redux concept, but I can't see it going for longer than that.

Death to "organic" beasts. Keep robots metal! G1 and the Jungle Planet had the right idea. Anything else and I get a nice vacation from the fandom for quite some time.

    Whee!

I can't even stand the Jungle Planet ones, my only cybertron/galaxy force beast former is Dark Scorpinok.

A beast line would just mean far less for me to buy, I seldom like beast formers, and am planning to pass off many of the ones I do have.

I'd buy them. I dig the beasts greatly (and someday plan on tracking down the few figures I need to complete the western BW line in all its glory).

Geez, didn't realize there was still so much hatred for beasts in the fandom... I still like beast TFs more than most vehicular TFs, seeing as how they're really posable in both modes instead of just one...

I wouldn't mind more beasties. Really dug the mix we're getting in Cybertron.

    Huzzah for the beasties!

I think it would be pretty cool to kinda do both. In G1 history, the Maximals eventually replaced the Autobots. But it was conceivable that at some point in the evolution, the Autobots/Decepticons and Maximals/Predacons co-existed. So in the new Armada/Energon/Cybertron continuity, they could do something similar, but just not have the Autobots/Decepticons be replaced -- have all four different groups. Now that would be cool -- everyone would be happy.

After the G1 classics line and the G1ish movie line I think a beast line would be kind of nice although I dont think it'll happen until they milk the realistic movie modes for all they have.
