Just a quick question to clear up something, but is hasbro making any more movie related toys like they did with ROTF for 2012. I heard somewhere that all they are gonna focus on is Prime figures for this year. I apologize if this has been asked before I'm just curious.

    Thanks

I don't believe there's been any news in the 11 hours since somebody last started a thread about if there are or are not any more movie toys on the way.

Well, there will of course be a toyline for Transformers 4: The Search for More Money.

Too bad it probably won't be a reboot, with a director that actually likes Transformers and knows the meaning of G1.

G1 isn't the only TF countinuity out there to take inspiration from. But yeah the movie toyline will still go on despite the Big attention Hasbro's giving to Prime.

They are not done with movie waves. We still have movie trilogy on it's way. As for DOTM, yeah, it's pretty much done.

Once i snag a Wheeljack and HA Soundwave, im pretty much done with DOTM. So im not too worried, but Hasbro needs to get their crap together before this ends up like the last waves of RTS.

There will be more waves I'm just not sure if you will see them on the shelves because too many retailers have too many movie toys left over to have room for anything else. It might be like finding later waves of lines like Iron Man after retailers over ordered the early waves.

Well, I tend to view G1 as being like the English language. When it finds something useful or interesting, it absorbs it. Side Burn, Hot Spot, Lugnut, and Lockdown first appeared in another era, but have since become a part of G1. They've also added in characters after the fact like Hauler, Sunstorm, and Acid Storm.

I'm tired of the movieverse toys. I'll still buy some to fill in the gaps of my collection, but Prime toys are such a breath of fresh air.

That's not really G1. That's more like the whole "aligned continuity" thing they're doing now.

    Thanks for the info!

Does anyone know how big they're gonna go on the movie trilogy line? Like is there gonna be cyberverse or is it just repaints for the line?

We're not really sure, but here's hoping for more info at Toyfair, I believe.
