when it comes to sentinel primes character design in idw's megatron origin storyline i really don't know why people but for some reason i just can't quite shake the feeling that i have seen that design somewhere before in the transformers/yuusha brave mythos. i swear its the damndest thing this hunch i got right now i know i've seen that design somewhere before over the years but for the love of me i just can't quite remember where and right now it is driving me completely bonkers http://tfwiki.net/w2/images2/9/94/IDWSent.gif http://tfwiki.net/w2/images2/1/12/IDWSentface.gif anybody got the slightest clue on this one people? i know i've seen that design somewhere before over the years
I don't know about that, though Sentinel Prime may borrow a few elements of his deign, here or there. At any rate, I loved Megatron:Origin, and would love to see a SP figure.
Personally I always thought it resembled Cybertron Prime, especially in Apex mode where he looked passingly like Cybertron Prime merged with Wing Saber in the Sonic Wing Mode.
He wants there to be a connection SO MUCH. But I'm pretty sure Sentinel is an original design, though like many transformers, he may have substantial brave influence.
No he is not. The IDW Sentinel Prime was initially designed by Don. Milne later added to it for Megatron: Origin.
His shoulders have a design element taken from something I used to own as a kid. But can't place it. Maybe from a megazord or something... But yeah, what Gryph said.
