Ok so I'm no fan of MP-45 and there's a heap of reasons for that, that I won't bore you with (again!). However looking at the photos in the Masterpiece appreciation thread, and the various Bumblebee threads I think I've put my finger on something that explains why I can't get on with him while others love the cute little tike... Some of you guys think of G1 Bumblebee as a child. He appears to be perceived as a toddler or baby even by some, a cute little kid that the 'older' Autobots can pick up and cuddle. I've really never seen him that way. In my mind's eye he's young and relatable to kids and (in the show) Human's in general... but he's not an infant, he doesn't need to take a nap or have his nappy changed. He's a competent and skilled 'young adult' as far as in concerned and by the time we get to '86 he's just one of the 'guys'. I'm guessing that has a lot to do with the differences in depiction between (some of) the cartoon and the toy bios and comics. So what do you guys think? Relative to a human how mature do you think he is? This is not an MP-45 bashing thread. I know loads of you guys love the little guy and that's great. I'm just interested in what I see as a disconnect in his depiction and therefore the fan perception of him. There's no wrong or right answer!
