At this point there aren't any other real titan class candidates left. It could be Overlord, as his toy way pretty huge, but he seems more likely to be the next Commander class. Broadside or Tidal wave are really commander class at best. A year ago I was convinced it'd be Unicron, but that's been taken care of by an entirely different distribution system. It's possible they'll just leave the slot empty, as Unicron is "technically" coming out next year. But after seeing the recent review of the new Scorponok I have a feeling they're going to end things with his counterpart.

Yes I know they've already released a "Fort Max" titan, and if you own it you already know it's not worthy of that name. It can't transform into his city mode, it's missing virtually all his original features and accessories, and 2/3 of him is just a repainted Metroplex shell with its features nerfed. The new bits are almost entirely cosmetic, and you had to spend more on the third party addons to make him presentable than you did on the figure itself. In short, he's crap.

The fear since then has been that they'd do this again with another titan, but they haven't. In fact the others have all gotten a serious dose of the love and care that was sorely missing from the Titans Return titan. Fort Max is the only one that got a raw deal, and being the original flagship titan for 30+ years should have earned him a little more effort in the design department.

So what would make more sense than to revisit him at the end of this G1 revival, immediately after his main foe? He's a flagship, let him be the capstone to this generation as he was to the original.

If memory serves Warden hinted at Hasbro doing a Metroplex redux for 2021. So, while that may not be Fort Max, it does mean that they're willing to revisit previously done Titans and he could receive an update after the WFC trilogy.

I sure hope so. Because the g1 fort max city mode is heads and shoulders above the crap we got with tr fort max.

I have no gripes with Max getting a re-do but Broadside as a Titan size release would be awesome. As an individual toy with great play value, a large aircraft carrier is a fantastic toy; I don’t care what size scale the character was released as over 30 years ago. Get me great toys today.
