    This guy thinks so:

Is 2010 the Worst Movie Year Ever? - WSJ.com

Hard to disagree. Inception was the first (and maybe last) movie I've seen this year because Nolan made it and it seemed to have an intriguing plot based on the trailers.

Everything else out there just seems to be a heap of garbage, week after week.

Iron Man 2 and Toy Story 3 would like to argue that point.....

It seems worse because the summer movie season over the last few years has been littered with smash hit after smash hit. this year, it finally caught up to the studios. After Iron Man 2, Toy Story 3 and Inception, the summer box office has been a series of disappointments. It's kind of an oreo year. Last year we had "OMFG super cash money hits" and next year will be the same.

Much like everyone else, personal opinion about certain actors, sequels, and remakes mixed with a nostalgic love for said factors from our youth must then equal fact.

Frankly, I kinda feel like this summer season was rather disappointing, but it had no more remakes or sequels than any other movie season before it.

The article doesn't claim that there were no good movies sprinkled in. It states that as a whole, this year's the worst.

The sequel is nothing new: they've been making them for decades. However, they've worn out their welcome.

If this isn't the worst year, I'd like to know what was.

Not even close to being a bad movie year. Shutter Island, Toy Story 3, Iron Man 2, Micmacs, Kickass and Splice alone make it one of the best movie years I can remember. If Scott Pilgrim, Harry Potter and Machete are as good as they look, it'll be an EPIC movie year in my book.

I find it hard to think that a year that has seen Toy Story 3, Iron Man 2, Despicable Me, Kick Ass, Predators, and Rec 2 as the worst year for movies ever.

Even Prince of Persia was decent.

Really? Half of them are wrong? Give me 5 on that list that are good then. The only movie remotely watchable on that list is Air Force One. Even then you should just fast forward to "Get off my plane" and then put something else on. Everything else is groan worthy at best and shameful at worst.
