True! I too would like to see more Obari/Studio OX TFs, so far I think the only upcoming figure of this kind is the Zeta Raiden.

 

Really sucks if so. Haven't gotten my hands on Star Saber yet (got a PO for a batch from TCP with absolutely no word about movement on that AT ALL, so i'll probably have to look elsewhere) but that thing legit is just the money shot of MP Star Sabers, best of the two (Takara and this), IMO.

Who knows? Hopefully they show signs again sooner or later, I mean look at Badcube, them or at least someone with access to their designs is pushing another run out. If ANYONE can, I would imagine IT could as well.

 

Yeah, hopefully they get their Simba out eventually, I need him alongside my Star Saber.

 

Got this today and I love it. It has a few small paint blemishes, and the ankle tilts ARE disappointing, but I don't care enough that it detracts from the overall chad-ness of this figure. It's a fucking crime that IronTrans will never be able to improve upon what they made here.



Someone else I showed this too described it as "Obari as fuck".

 

So is Irontrans done for sure? No Victory Leo then?

 

My copy is missing the outer knee filler on the left knee. fortunately thats the only flaw I can find.

 

I think it was better that they didn't make Victory Leo, I doubt Star Saber could have handled the weight.

 

The lack of ratchets in the legs definitely would have been a problem by the time you added another half a robot onto the torso.

 

I have a favor to ask.

Do any of you guys that own the Irontrans SS have the KFC Simba? If so, do they work together and would it be possible to post a pic of the 2 together? Simba in Lion mode if possible.

If Irontrans isn't making a Victory Leo, hopefully Simba works.

I can assure you that KFC will not work with IT's Star Saber, neither functionally or aesthetically.

Not even close? I don't want to combine them, just display IT SS in bot mode and the KFC Simba as a lion.

 

KFC Simba was designed to be a perfect aesthetic match for MP-24. Even ignoring the fact that IT SS is taller than MP-24 so Simba is gonna look small next to it, the two are just too different in their stylization and even paintwork.

They kinda fit together if you just want to leave them on display and don't want to pose them as Victory Saber. Nothing really fits together, though.

 

I think some people would consider that a crime. Bored Victory Saber is bored.   

 

Does anyone know FOR SURE that Irontrans is no more? Do we have confirmation from any credible source as to whether or not they are still producing figures? I REALLY want my Victory Leo!

I've a feeling Iron Trans are designers for other companies rather than a dedicated company. The time between their odd legends release and this masterpiece was pretty big and it was pretty odd how they went from one scale to another. I'd guess Iron Trans is someone's side project for fun.

 

I know The Chosen Prime says they have a 2nd batch coming in but if the company isn't around anymore I'm unsure how. Hopefully I didn't wait too long to grab this guy.
