The different face shield designs from that episode, now that would be a great accessory for Wave. And of course LB.

Can't wait to see some designs for him.

A show-accurate TFP Soundwave is my grail, I'm so hype

The :)  face is a mandatory accessory, but I would love a removable clear visor that you could stick paper inserts behind. Then you could give Soundwave any faceplate you can imagine. Think of the possibilities...

He's looking awesome. I'm anxious to see what revisions are made to the model in the new printing because there's just a few things that I think could be improved to really nail it. But man, he's looking badass as is.

I think his head could be a smidgen smaller. Prime Megatron had a ridiculously tiny head on a huge body.

But that's a small nitpick, he still is great looking.

So is the general consensus that we are okay with this thing not transforming?

It seems like in any other context a figure that doesn't transform is heresy but everyone here seems to be in favor of the project.

I myself am happy with that. I've been saying for over a year now that there should be more non-transforming transformers but it seems like most other people are still opposed to that.

There's been a market for dual model kits and 3A statues for a long time now. It's smaller than the whole fandom, but the things have been selling.

Because even tho I technically love and collect Transformers - my biggest want or attraction to a TF figure is screen accuracy and proper scale. Those two trump whether it transforms or not (for me)
Plus - I keep all my displayed in botmode anyway

This is probably outright blasphemy on a TF forum, but I've never liked transformation as a toy gimmick. Even as a kid, I'd much rather have a toy that did one thing really well, than one that did two things poorly. Granted, Transformers are designed specifically for transformation, which puts them worlds ahead of things like the transforming digimon toys (even if some digimon are designed for it too).

Absolutely. It'd be cool if it transformed but it probably wouldn't be screen accurate then, especially with how his chest and legs compress for his spaceship mode.

With the exception of my G1 Seekers and Coneheads, my entire collection is displayed in robot mode, so with that in mind, the awesome size of this, and the overwhelming desire I have for a screen accurate TFP Megatron, that's all why I don't even think twice about it being non-transforming.

To be bluntly honest, I *loathe* the idea of non-transforming Transformers. It's kinda the basis of the whole franchise after all (plus I am terribly, horrifyingly old school).

    BUT.

Since we did not get even one single show-accurate transformation toy (imho), I am very happy to settle for the next best thing: show accuracy without the transformation.

And as has been said, we tend to display in robot mode anyway. That and the sheer beauty and attention to detail of these figures have won me over.

Shouldn't OP be out soon, btw?
