Ooo, that is lovely! I'm guessing you couldn't complete the bottom bits to allow for figures to grasp it? I think i saw another attempt at one on Shapeways elsewhere. I'll try to find the link.

It's such a great accessory, and so iconic to the show and character , and yet not one TFP Optimus has come with it. I'm still holding out for a figure design that includes the Matrix, housed in the chest in a show-accurate way.

    ...waiting......

I left the bottom arms off so that the outer arms could be used as handles for figures to hold. Someone was looking for a matrix specifically for the voyage Beast Hunters Optimus to hold in its closed fist hands, and store in its chest.

I could add the omitted bottom arms though.

This has become my most anticipated figure EVER. I am geeking out looking at how complex the design and construction is. I can't imagine how difficult it was for the designer to figure all of this out, but I am definitely getting them to sign mine once I have it.

I can't wait to see prototypes and what the paint's going to look like! The designer says it's 27cm tall. DAMMMMMNNNNNNN.

If Megatron is 27cm tall, any guesses at how long this bad boy is?

I check twice a day for updates on this bad boy. I'm watching this shit like a diabetic does their blood sugar levels.

The designer states we'll be getting three heads with different facial expressions (I'm guessing eyebrow placement necessitates a whole head swap instead of just a face), and the shoulder pauldrons are being changed to a single piece per section, in order to get rid of that seam line at their spiked tips.

Well on behalf of everyone of us (and Wilford Brimley) we appreciate it immensely!

I’m more excited for these Iron Warrior TFP figures than just about anything else. Can you imagine a Skyquake/Dreadwing!?

At that size... how out of scale is this with Prime figures? I know Megatron was fairly large on the show, but is the size fudgeable?

TFP voyager Megatron is as close as to scale as you can get with the other deluxe and voyager TFP figures.

The deluxe TFP Soundwave only comes to this guy's knee.

At almost 11" tall, this is more like Masterpiece scale.

My mistake. I think you're right that those are two different sizes. Soundwave and the Vehicon are around the same height:
    DSC_0743-01-picsay.jpg
I'm not sure which image is the real size (I'm guessing the Vehicon one. The Vehicon is 13cm tall at the top of the head, which looks to be about mid-thigh on IW Megatron). The designer's said a couple times now that it'll be 27cm tall. I'm not sure why they would have prototypes in different sizes, but the leg with Soundwave was also posted in a pic with their Optimus prototype:

This is all very exciting. Nice to see prototype parts getting tested out.
I love TFP Megatron, and I love his design, and standing this guy next to MP G1 Megatron, man, that's gonna be sweet.
It makes me wanna look at getting a MP BW Megatron too.

This picutre makes it look like Megs is holding Optimus close, as if in a loving embrace.

    Behold, the Dark Star Saber:

Also, a bit of expected but still bad news: Megatron will be a higher, undetermined price than Optimus due to his larger size and parts count.
