No, they are Hot Soldiers in disguise, Mechanic Studio is MFT in Disguise.

I'll bite the bluestreak.

 

Hm. The clear windshields are a nice step up from there HS version (even though they're blue). Wish they'd gone all out, though, and done the back windows too. And make the back window go all the way across instead of being split. They messed up on Bluestreak's paint though - black paint shouldn't go into the headlights.

Have they given any indication of size? Same size as HS? Bigger? Smaller?

 

i feel it would be weird for this to be MFT. they have always had a mutual working relationship with HS. but if this is indeed them then shots fired no doubt.

 

the black shouldn't even go the A-pillar of the car, just the roof. Newage got that. as far as what was posted, Legends+ is indicated, with an estimated height of 9.9cm. @chuckcjc did some quick measurements and found that it's about the same height as MFT Sideswipe

 

I prefer NA in both modes in terms of looks, so not for me.

 

All signs point to this being the newly rebranded Hot Soldiers under MFT production and distribution.

These are MFT studio shots. And the same graphic design they use on most solicitations. I think they just want the separation to keep it from looking like they just stole the designs since this was a more proper merger. I know, I know it’s never been an issue in the past...

Anyway, these look pretty fun and should be a good fit for the legends+ Datsun/Fairlady Z hole on the shelf.

 

i now wonder if the person who said he is in contact with MFT knows something about this. i already asked him previously if HS and MFT are one and the same and he immediately shot that theory down

 

Geezus. What's the next company to make these guys - my grandma gonna to put out a Datsun bot?

 

can't say who else, but I think the Datsun mold has been milked dry, if also this is MFT in disguise. i can't put Toyworld yet with these guys. i'm waiting for Newage, and Irontrans for their Lambos for sure.

 

what signs would that be that point to this being and HS and MFT collab?

they clearly parted ways and stated before that they were going in different directions as companies.

yeah i know it doesn't mean much since MFT is the calling all the shots over there in china. but i dont see any reason why HS would not announce this as there new rebranding. or why they would use MFT for everything again. after they went so far to make it clear that they were breaking away from them.
