included with the coneheads seems more plausible to me, because its the harder sell. $90 vs $25 for bridgewatcher. yes, you get three seekers for that, but bridgewatcher already has a low price as incentive.

I just think it's more likely they will sell Acidrain + Sunstorm torso for another $40, just like they're selling Starscream + Starscream Ghost torso. Heck, they even already have the right size package inserts for that setup.

It's the same reason they're releasing legs of ghost with arms of sunstorm and vice versa. They only need to create one package insert to use with both sets.

That's why I think they'll just reuse the Starscream package inserts for another regular seeker (Acidrain) with a torso (Sunstorm)

I just think it's more likely to see the popular rainmakers released that way instead of shoving it into the Coneheads box.

 

Nice. Very nice. As I said earlier, I suggested they do this exact thing with Mid-warp Skywarp. Didn't expect Sunstorm. Still, I'm pretty psyched.

 

Sounds like a plausible theory. I would not mind getting acid storm for $40 if it meant completing sunstorm, which looks awesome.

 

And if we end up with 6 figures (Starscream, Ghost Starscream, Skywarp, Thundercracker, Sunstorm, Acidrain) for $160 (4x $40)... that's $26.67 per figure. Not bad at all.

 

Now that I can check this out on a screen bigger than my tiny phone those definitely look like new heads. There hasn't been an update on the IF coneheads for awhile. If that is where they are packaging the Sunstorm torso then maybe we'll get some colored test shots soon.

Yes, the chinese text confirmed that the Coneheads will come with the Sunstorm torso.

In July they will reveal the 4th good news, perhaps a bonus that comes with Shockwave and Bruticus.

 

This comparison makes me want MechFansToys to do their slight upsize magic to Tyrant's Wing so they'd scale better in jet mode. It wouldn't hurt my feelings for the F-22 "upgraded" bodies to be a bit taller than the old and busted F-15; they ARE "upgrades," after all.

(I'd want that in addition to, not instead of, Iron Factory's originals, a la Ultra Magnus.)

 

I have a feeling that Acidstorm/Bitstream may come with Bruticus.

We've had Ghost/Sunstorm across four releases(SS, SW, TC, Coneheads), so it would be plausible for another two guys to be packaged with the next four releases(Shockwave and 3x Combaticons).

Wow, I thought IF's Starscream was shorter than DX9's.

I'm liking him even more now, and really wish they were cheaper.

I got starscream for 35 USD shipped from ebay (baba), and that is without flash sales. So imagine the possibilities  

Fortunately, i only want (or have room for) Starscream, so i am moving on to Shockwave next, hopefully at 25 USD shipped or less, on ebay or at TFCon.

having grabbed the dx9 set and being totally put off by their articulation (or lack off) I'm all inn for all sorts of recolours of seekers from IF.

I brought the issue of bicep/nullray swivel up early on in the dx9 thread in the hope they would do something about it. I would have been happy with just that articultion added(might bern stretch given transformation blablabla)... After having the hasbro seekers, i know that if you are going to have multiples of a figure they shouldn't be poorly articulated! There not a great more dx9s have over hasbros basics than feet and head swivel so.

 

After looking over this photo yet again I'm convinced that someone needs to make a Masterpiece-quality and scaled version of this IDW f-22 seeker design.

No, the Hasbro Leader scale version does NOT cut it.
