He reminds me of the dragon from the Mighty Max Dragon Island set I had as a kid.

Not really a big fan of Beast War but in my humble opinion this looks beter than Perfect Effect Mega Doragon both robot as dragon mode. Little bit shocked at the sizes in dragon mode. Do hope it's a fun transformation.

Read somewhere, can't find the article at the moment, both IF Beast War figures are going to be triple changers. Someone can confirm that?

30cm?! Isn't that nearly the size of Mega Doragon?
I'm happy to see that he can stand upright in dragonmode (kind of) but I think he needs more paint.
And I definitely need to see a picture of the botmode back, because I spy some seriously inelegant kibble.
Otherwise this looks great and I am hyped for more legends scaled BW figures.

 

The only 3rd mode for the dragon I can think of is same as for PE, as in a silly dragon on wheels, and that may even be from the show, but can’t remember.

Anyways, to me, this is the best IF work ever, truly desirable, and I don’t have to wait for some repaint, I want it just as is.

 

It's the ilbegotten 2nd-and-a-half mode that the larger 1999 transmetals mashed into their transformation schemes. It was an afterthought at best, the remnants of an abandoned third mode for the toys.

 

Don't care for a silly third mode. The Perfect Effect one looks like a soap box car. And can't see any wheels on this design, hope they aren't hidden. But the Primal Commander figure has airplane wings in both robot as gorilla mode, so expecting this one to turn into an awful looking plane.

 

primal has wings becuause they are intrinsic in the optimal optimus design, plus he used his jet mode regularly in the show. megatrons racer mode was more of an after thought
