Quick question about the battlechargers from g1, were they about the same size as the minibots? I can’t find any images and I’m hoping these IF ones will be good for a chug collection

 

I wanna say they're carbot size...


Maybe slightly shorter, but not Minibot short.

Toys more so since they were barely in the toon (in which I think you’re right, they were short car bot sized)

 

The only image I can find with them next to Minibot sized cars is with Throttlebots, which they're bigger than.

 

For a Chug collection? I feel a plus sized would work better. As of right now, the Sunstreaker mold feels small next to deluxes.

I remember the Battlechargers fondly from the comics. They were solidly Carbot to a little bigger there. They even popped up in Dreamwave.
In G1, they trolled the humans for awhile with graffiti.


They then joined Shockwave's EX-Decepticons (including Starscream, Ravage, Mindwipe, and Triggerhappy) to take on Scorponok's crew.
Later, Runamuck was killed fighting Unicron and Runabout was eaten after the battle.


In IDW they were the first Decepticons encountered and they were chaotic (remind me of the Stunticons).

They are such a temptation, I have to resist! Megatron, Soundwave, and especially Bluestreak are as good as bought.

I was one of those kids in 1984 pissed off that the Bluestreak toy was nothing like the one in the first toy list. Therefore, since there is no chance in Hell of ever acquiring a Diaclone version, THIS will be my long waited consolation.

The others, Wheeljack, Hound, and Mirage can wait.

So IF... How about that Astrotrain?

 

Nah man we do Galvatron first not Spacebus, then hopefully Rodimus

 

I would not be surprised if Galvatron and Rodimus are next.

Tho I wonder if thei're gonna do more BW stuff too now that they opened that Pandora's box. Would not mind some more transmetal BWs to go with Primal and Megatron.

Also, of all the possible configurations of regular Megatron, there's no Lost Light Megs. So I think we're gonna see that one too at some point.

 

Yeah, I'd bet on a dedicated release fairly faithful to Milne's control art. Best Megatron deserves no less.

 

Wow, for some reason I thought all of those (not jumpstarters) were the same size in G1. I only had Goldbug as a kid though.

That pic with OP just makes me yearn for a newer, more G1 or Earth-bound IDW style Prime. That cybertronian truck-chest is just ugly. He definitely needs a do-over now that the line has veered more into the IDW comic look.

But Megs is to die for. Very nicely done, IF.

 

Now they just need to rerelease their Prime!

 

Nice! I wonder if the g1 set up can still transform? I can’t quite see how it could make that tank without the tread backpack, but you never know.
