    Not offended, I was making a comment about TFSafari stating he's incoming for a prolonged time but didn't want to call them out because I don't normally shop with them. Just living through pedantic COVID and the woke culture so I'm a bit ready to strangle people who want to offer reasons for things that have nothing to do with me. Sorry you beat me to deleting my post before we got into this exact debate. I don't like to upset people here so I try to not be hard nosed here.

    This is a great product that manages to show the best and worst of Iron Factory.

    The best is that this is a fun, unique figure. This is the only place you can get the Max Ambus figure in plastic. I think that the size that this figure is, is also perfect for what it's trying to achieve. I know the combination is a bit tacked on, but it's one of my favourite things about the set. It's solid, well constructed and very playable.

    The bad has been covered already - it's the alt mode. This is IFs weak area on almost all of their figures. They're either boxy or really obviously just a folded robot. Specifically here it doesn't bother me, because I'm happy to accept that the truck and trailer mode is essentially just the armour folding up for transformation. Literally every other Legends scale 3P company does alt modes better, something balanced by the fact that apparently literally every other 3P Legends company focusing on 1984 Sunbow stuff.

    This figure is eminently worth it, but I can't say it's going to get me on board the IF train.

    @SharkyMcShark -

    Those other legends scale companies are also all doing G1 alt modes. Which are immensely more easy to pull off than DW/IDW designs and alt modes.

    Also, I love all modes on this guy personally. If anything it only cemented my love for IF even more.

    whoa man that is kind of crazy. this has been out everywhere for a long time now. hopefully they get you a bot soon.

    i would say cancel but after all this time you are pot committed. so i would assume you would just ride it out now.

    i love some of the styles and sculpts IF bots into their bots, but sorry i don't see how a real world alt mode is immensely more easy to do than an abstract alt mode that doesn't really resemble anything.

    You don’t think really smooth, flat and boxy designs, are harder to do than the DW/IDW designs?

    I mean. You can be sorry all you want and think that. I guess we’ll agree to disagree there.

    Not sure if TFS express has also shipped theirs, but I assume so since he's not in their PO page anymore. I kinda regret ordering him along with soundwave 2.0 at the same time.

    Has anyone tried painting the big guys eyes at all? I like how vibrant the light piping works but it also looks very out of place with the rest of their current line.

    I’m most likely going to try it myself but wanted to see if anyone else had first.

    light piped eyes are usually easy to paint over as you can usually just take it out. and in this case i believe it's just held in place by a screw in the back of the head.

    Oh yeah his is very easy to paint. I was mainly curious to see if anyone had done it already to see how it looks before I take a shot at it as well.

    Just throwing it out there, I'm selling mine, minus the Minimus Ambus. I was hoping this would kick off a love for Legends, but sadly, no.

    it's easy enough to remove the paint off the eyes if you don't like it after the fact. ;)
