No one knows for sure yet... the pics on the first post are literally everything we've seen so far. But I would hope so...

The armor is huge, it’s hard to imagine it doesn’t.... but no confirmation.
Wish it had the shoulder seats but I can understand how it’s not practical given the size.

Iron Factory is my early candidate for company of the year. They are really kicking ass. The DJD, Megatron, this thing, Dragon Megatron, etc, etc. Should just send them my credit card number.

Yes and no. This is a beautiful figure (or at least it looks like it will be), but the Tarn debacle is one hell of a blot on this year's record.

I realize a lot of people received a Tarn that's too tight, but mine's actually pretty good. Does not mean it's not a problem, because it is. Their later two figures, Megatron and Mirage seem to have better tolerance.

As an avid fan of Ultra Magnus in most all of his iterations, and as a fan of Iron Factory's products in general, I must admit that this figure has me Torn. Excited for sure; that robot mode is KILLER. It's the Alt Mode that really bugs me; the Prototype pics do not look reassuring. The Cab and the Trailer appear to be one big thing with no articulation. On a $90 figure(NINETY DOLLARS!!!), a reasonable person would imagine this to be more than just a beefed up, more heavily-armed version of their first City Commander figure(whose alt mode was an actual BRICK, despite how great that little robot mode was at getting me hooked on 3p legends)... And this is especially true when you consider how awesome the latest Legends scaled Magnus figures have been...

To be clear: there is no way that I am NOT getting this figure(unless it somehow sells out before I get a chance; it's happened before). But I really cannot help feeling that IF kinda phoned in that Alt Mode, what with the increasing quality of their releases of late. You win some, you lose some I guess, but as cool as this figure looks and as much as I love the IDW version of Ultra Magnus, I am not super excited about shelling out the cash for this guy...

Also very interested to see how Ambus fits in there...

Late to the comment party on this, but this thing looks very nice. I hope we get more pics of the vehicle mode.

Was just fanboying over this set's pics again, and drooling. Have we found a size for these two, esp the li'l sidekick? I'm thinking he's about the same size as the IF fembots?

In fairness, I think the alt-mode being an afterthought probably reflects the in-universe design decisions.

Roomy shoulder turrets for SMOL BOTS: check.
Ability to corner: WHERE WE'RE GOING WE WON'T NEED ROADS.

I mean it is practical you just would only be able to use significantly smaller toys on them like maybe their Arcee so if IF didn't bother with such a feature I would understand why.

Wouldn't mind if IF brings out Swerve, Rewind and Tailgate in scale with this figure and the rest of the line next year. A nice 3 pack would be awesome. Just speculating.

...and we still need Milne's Lost Light Rodimus and Megatron.

Never really cared for the Headmasters gimmick but do like the Lost Light design for Chromedome. The only option for a legend Chromedown is Unique Toys which is the G1 cartoon design with the Headmaster gimmick.

For Tailgate and Swerve I got the Maketoys one. Very beautiful figures but to big for a legend collection.

You're all out of faith in 3P? I guess this is how you feel. I mean, when I look at my credit card bill, I am definitely cold and I am shamed, and I wake up naked on the floor, covered in Transformers.

Ugggh I want to trade my CHUG IDW collection for a Legends-class collection SO HARD, but there's not as many characters! And it's a hell of a lot harder to customize tiny robots into unmade IDW characters.

You do make excellent points, @metaphorge. It's just SO EXPENSIVE and it literally turns into a huge brick. The robot mode is Great, 100%. But I have just come to expect more out of IF and out of Ultra Magnus figures in general. In truth, I don't even know if that Magnus armor ever even transforms in the comic but from the perspective of Is it a robot? Is it a vehicle? Is is a Robot pretending to be a vehicle, or is it a Vehicle pretending to be a robot?" As you said; Vehicle mode was an afterthought. Maybe I'll just think of it as that School Bus ship he used to fly around in the Spotlight issue(you know the one)...

@Bumblemus Prime, I think your radio is stuck on the 90's grocery store music station, lol.

I do agree with everything in your post, tho.
