I don't think so. I'm trying to sand them down to use them on a different figure, and they are pretty damn solid and don't want to sand with 400 grit sandpaper

Just got it as part of a big pile of loot. I have all three grimlocks and the platinum looks to be the best fit for the set.

Just put this kit on Platinum Grimlock in the G1 configuration and I have to say I quite like it. Really does make the mold a nice G1 homage, especially posed next to Classics or TW-02 Orion. (The wings and shiny gold chrome paint mirrors the MP mold of Grimlock nicely in my display.)

I do prefer how easy it is to pop the head on (and the eye color swap gimmick is simple to do too) compared to how much of a pain it is to screw on the ZF Cretaceous Advancement head (that upgrade kit I also own). The IF set does fail in the gun department (I vastly prefer the ArtTek gun); it's not super horrible but it's not that great (why gray instead of black?) and the 5mm handle sits too loosely in Grimmy's fist hole.

So each upgrade kit has its pros and cons, so mixing and matching (as I did) will probably yield the best results.

Are we still talking about the Iron Factory kit here? No head was included with that kit. I'm confused!

My mistake, got confused with the ArtTek head (man, it's hard to keep track of all the kits out for FoC Grimlock :lol ). The ArtTek head is the one that's very easy to pop on and has the red/blue eye visor swap gimmick, not included with the IF upgrade kit.

As far as the ZF CA upgrade head, it was a pain to screw in. Even pre-screwing the holes to loosen them up (before putting the head halves together), it was slow going and annoying, but I got it to work after a while and some elbow grease.

oh mine were worse, the screwhole broke and a chunk of it fell out. I had to screw it and use superglue to hold the damn thing in. Zenith Forge gets points for effort, but not a fan of the quality of the head. had they just put screws in there, and have it screwed in at the start [and you just loosen them to put it on], it would be great. Also not sure why his eyes are translucent but there is no lightpiping o_O

Anyone know someplace with this actually in stock? All of the online vendors I checked still have it listed as preorder and even the ebay auctions seem to all be preorders. If not, sigh... waiting...

Has anybody tried this on the AoE Target two pack Grimlock? I'm considering picking one up but not if the colors clash too much.

For anyone else who has this, is your gun really, really loose? To the point that any rapid movement or jostling knocks it out of Grimlock's fist? It fits tine in the leg holes when in dino mode for me but I am really dissatisfied with how it fits in the hands. Am I the only one with this issue?
