Ah yes I remember now. Cheers
Anyone knows some good lightning effect parts that work with Kaon?
Why come one of the weedwads has arms coming out his stomach?
Why come DJD sounds lame AF? Especially when Decepticon Justice Division sounds tough...but DJD? Sounds like Boyz II Men, ABC, BBD, DJD.
That's just his design. Presumably, Milne went for a disturbing, alien design to match the DJD's disturbing, alien presence. Practically speaking, Helex likely has small torso-hands to manipulate things, because the giant claw hands he has are probably pretty useless for any fine work, piloting, or even picking up small objects due to lack of motor control and just being unwieldy.
I don't know why you think DJD sounds "lame AF". It's just an abbreviation. At least it's not the Decepticon Vengeance Division, which was a thing: Decepticon Vengeance Division - Transformers Wiki
Acronyms are fickle. Sometimes they sound cooler than the actual word. "SS" sounds cold and intimidating. "Schutzstaffel" sounds like a kind of pastry. I like my Schutzstaffel jelly filled.
There are also dumber acronyms that actually happen in real life, so perhaps the DJD are just a victim of circumstance:
Your mileage may vary.
I fully expect you to have the integrity to type out 'Decepticon Justice Division' in full every time you appear in this thread from now on.
But can I call it the D-con J-Div? I don't mind the ring of that...
See now, J-Div sounds like a KPop band to me so we're back to square one.
KPop still might be a step up from B2M, ABC,& BBD. Not a huge step up, but a step up nonetheless.
Hey, get your facts out of here!
I only really know Monstructor from toys, and they never really show off that feature. I’m sold now, IF Monstructor plz?
Unlike wings, arms and legs have mass and many more points of articulation. Combiners are clunky beasts with massive balancing issues. Absent huge clonky feet and heavy ratcheted hips and ankles, I'd bet any attempt at a full-scale four-armed combiner would be an absolute mess to stand and pose, especially if both sets of arms were separate figures as opposed to two normal arm bots and a set of "feature" limbs.
Even the artist's depiction of Monstructor is a massive extrapolation of a tiny, unintended feature of the OG toy, which looked like a toy surprise from a Kinder Egg:
See the weensy hole under his left armpit? That's your horrifying "smaller hands" - hardly a thing of consequence, especially since the OG toy was smaller than a 86 Carbot. As a result, I don't think an absence of four armed combiners is a failure in imagination. It's probably an engineering limitation.
My question is where are all the beast-shaped combiners? Give me some more Magmatrons as opposed to the billionth Scramble City/humanoid form.
Again, I need a centaur combiner. I think it wouldn't be impossible, and stability wouldn't be too hard. Also, itd be rocking a mystic force koragg megazord look
TFC's Dinobot combiner had a decent beast gestalt fanmode in addition to the traditional robot mode.
I'd honestly expect IF to make a Wreckers combiner with Rotorstorm being the torso.
And give him an effect part to replicate overlord popping his brains out, hand and everything
Anyone have any idea when Tesarus is due for release? I just bought the first two sets a few weeks ago and Alkaid last week. Still new to buying 3rd Party and I don't know IF's schedule.
I think he's slated for end of November, but release dates are always subject to change.
In the original release schedule of IF there are still a few figures that should arrive this year but I don't think they are going to succeed. I expect that there will be 2 a 3 figures of the 8 that they will release in the last few months of this year.
Reminds me of this, not really a transformer but its Japanese relative the yuusha series.
Edit: Here's the toy review, I remember owning this set, dont really dig the centaur look back then, but now it look so majestic.
Merak, the last member, is out in november
Good, good. Now just make sure I dont get hit by a car before that...
