This is a pretty great set.

i feel like I wasted my money on MMC Cynicus.

I think my favorite is Kaon -I love how well my Bastard Prospects fit for electricution.

Hi, quick question - I was considering getting the Tarn as a standalone, but I understand that he had issues with the shoulders and replacement parts were included in the Vos/Kaon pack. Did later releases of Tarn fix the issue or do you still need the extra parts to avoid having a broken figure? (And come to think of it, if the rereleases fixed the issue, is there a way to tell which version you're buying from the packaging?)

 

Yes, his later batches fixed the issue, but there's no tell from the package which version you are having. I am pretty sure that all the retailers have his new and fixed version.

 

Have there been any hints at a recolor of this set? Would definitely purchase if it had a unified combined mode...

 

Why not just get MMC Tarn or the Flame Toys Tarn then?

That way you get your voyager sized Tarn, and he doesn’t look goofy as shit with all the weird kibble hanging off of him from the other bots? And he’ll be correctly colored as well.

I’ve mentioned this plenty of times already; I absolutely love these guys individually (bot modes and alt modes), but the combined mode, to me, looks insanely goofy and silly.

 

I love the combined mode, couldn't care less about the DJD/DEC/DEF on their own, so a uniformed color amongst would have me double dip and replace these in a heart beat

 

Contact your seller or IF directly. It’s a thin piece so you’re not the first. I got a replacement arm pretty quick.

I would be shocked and amazed if these don’t get KOd. If so, you could get a KO Tesarus to paint darker.


I’m having a lot of fun with Justice because of how versatile he is. You can leave 3/5 of the DJD out, you can deck him out with Siege parts, have him masked or maskless, vary the length of his legs etc. And that crying blood Megatron face is so wonderfully creepy.

Well that'd be no fun. I actually love the sculpt of each individual bot, as well as the combined mode, but I hate that mess of colors. I'm not attached to the TF characters in any way... or any for that matter... I'm just a cool-bot guy. So yeah... I want this actual set (not just a "Tarn")... just not sure if I should hold out or not for a unified team-themed recolor.

 

General question for DEC owners; with IF's War Giant, the combiner kibble could combine into Onslaught's trailer as well as forming the Bruticus bust. Does the DEC kibble have any other display/play options or is the bust the only thing that can be done with it?

No.

 

The combining gimmick was something that Iron Factory made up for this set. So no, the MMC team does not combine.

 

Finally ordered Dubhe/Tarn to finish off this set today ( a treat for myself for a rough few days)
