It's not like my post was aggressive. I even included the "..to me" to be extra clear it was my personal preference. If you can't handle hearing that, that's on you.

 

"Not worth it to you", though, is not the same thing as something being over-priced or costing too much money.

 

You said it seemed overpriced. We explained to you why it wasn't.

So then you said you still thought they were cool, but you just didn't want the extra things (accessories/articulation) that lead to the higher price.

In other words, you don't want the added value that IF provides, you just want something cheap.

You see, the part where I added "to me" means I acknowledged the price is not worth it for my completely subjective, personal criteria. It's not added value if it doesn't add value TO ME. Good hell people. I made the comment as benign as possible, acknowledging that it was my personal preference and you still couldn't handle that.

I think the moral of the story is that something can be expensive without being overpriced.

Actually, it's the opposite of ignorance to try and educate others as to why things are the way they are.

 

Honestly, if you want overpriced, just go to any MP thread around here. Now that's a waste of space. But hey, that's just my opinion. The difference is that I don't go to those threads and talk about how they are an overpriced waste of space.

Sitting here telling us these are overpriced when we feel they are just fine, that sounds to me like someone is trying to tell someone else how to feel.

If you don't like it, just leave. It's that easy.

 

Look, the thing is... this is a DISCUSSION forum, it isn't a platform for any of us to stand on a soapbox and shout things in a vacuum.

Now when people come into these threads and make very limited, short statements like "these are way overpriced, that's insane".. I don't really care what you think, you've already made up your mind.

What I care about are the people coming through, looking at the opinions of others to help try and form their own. If all they see is "this is not worth it"... that can affect how they think.

So no, I'm not just going to sit by when people cruise through here saying they're over priced.

I'm going to explain the value that these figures provide over other offerings, every single time.

Again... if you feel these are too expensive, and you can't afford them, that's fine. I know everyone isn't made of money, I'm not either. But it's important to frame those opinions properly. To let people know that it's too expensive for you because of all the great stuff that's in the product, and that they should still decide for themselves if that is value that they can afford.

 

Understatement of the year.

The only way rediculous 3rd party prices will go down is if you don't pay. I'm happy to be part of the solution on that front in this case.
