Is it wrong that I kind of wish someone would do an MP-scaled KO of this mold? I know, I know, those ball and socket joints would look all kinds of wrong at that scale, so no, a direct upscaling wouldn't really cut it. But what I really wish is that someone would make an MP-scaled Seeker that had this kind of articulation and all this wonderful attention to detail. For a long time I thought MT Howling Meteor would be that figure but sadly no, he's cut from the same slab of featureless plastic as TT Inferno. These IF Seekers are just so sharp looking. All there stuff is, really, but the Seekers stand out more simply because of how lacking the available MP-scale options are.

 

I don't think the detail would hold up if you upsized this mold to MP scale. I think it's alot easier to make things smaller and look to have lots of detail than it is to upsize, especially to such a large degree.

The colors look cool - but with already the 3 seekers plus the 3 coneheads in my 'on the side legends collection' that is slowly creeping into a full shelf of figures - I don't think I really need him. Good for all those that like him though

They made an MP Starscream. It was called MP-03. And MP-11. If you want IDW comics MP guys, that's not going to happen.

Never say never. We're getting galaxy force Mps and nobody expected that. There's also TFM/GT doing IDW in roughly MP scale.

I have MP-03 and MP-11. They stink. It's an opinion that, while not universal, is widely held. Pop in the MT Howling Meteor thread sometime. These IF Seekers have all the articulation that the TT molds don't, and the sense of style and eye for detail that toon-centric sculpts like Howling Meteor lack. I wish someone would do a release that similarly straddles those lines as IF has done, as Starscream and his mold-mates have not yet really been done well in the MP scale. I like these Legends scale figures and have been picking them up as they come. I also like MP scale, you don't apparently. Good for you, I guess.

 

I have not shopped on BBTS for awhile but I believe that you still can without being charged if you do it before BBTS gets the actual items.

 

I've got *most* of the MP-11 guys. My view is you're crazy. I love that mold and legitimately think it's great, and there's not a single need to redo it. Especially not 15 times again.

The fact remains, upscaling these guys would not work. They are lacking in serous articulation and tail for MP scale, and they are IDW in style which doesn't match any other MP guy out there.

 

Yeah, what Cascadia said. Sunstorm was part of the "welcoming committee" in the first episode, not the rain makers.

But yeah, I'd like the other two rain makers and other two welcoming committee guys, plus Slipstream*, Red Wing, Nacelle, Action Master Thunderstorm, generic purple warrior seeker ...


*My most wanted, though I'd rather they didn't go the anime girl route with Slipstream's face like they did with Windblade and Arcee.
