That one honestly confused me a little since it would appear so, but the Shattered Glass behind them uses the City Commander mold with the much smaller Minimus Ambus figure.

That's the weirdest part. Guess it's supposed to be a extra use of a new mold. Look closely and it looks like he has a mouth, and the figure doesn't seem to be a remold. Not sure why delta convoy has a face though

i am definitely feeling the new sunstreaker outside of the samurai crotch. but the new sideswipe mold just doesn't do it for me.

yeah, kind of a semi-obscure reference, especially with the more popular IDW take on Orion Pax being more known and amazingly done by MMC. But I guess that would be too close to their prior War Within OP.

 

I don't mind really, but I do hope they come with face plated heads.

I guess it's too close, but I wouldn't have minded another idw form. Or even, God forbid, maybe a samurai version. I'm sure he could pull the look off, and honestly the three in samurai armor sound really cool

I also like this precedent. A chance to finally get delta convoy without all the junk delta armor. Now if he could come with a shield, I'd be set

 

Red alert and sideswipe have different heads, which Is interesting, if not a bit weird.

Weird how we're getting another fallen. Not that I'm complaining of course. I never got the first, so a second chance is great. Wonder if he's another retool or if he's completely standalone. A mega tarn based on flame toys would be funny

Primal, Cheetor, and the Lambros all look very cool. Galvatron, the Fallen, and that new Orion mold look interesting too.

 

I am glad I skipped their Fallen 1.0, because the new one looks super sick. Liokaiser and the new samurai guys look great as well. I believe I only purchased a single Iron Factory figure throughout 2022, but looks like this year they'll be getting a lot of my money.

 

Dang, I don’t really see anything that I’m excited about. Sunstreaker looks better than the first one, but I don’t collect the samurai line. Darkness looks cool but he’s not a character I really care about. Sadly I think my IF collection will not be growing very much.

 

Really curious to see the Lambros alt mode.. the samurai influence seems slight in bot mode, and if it's a badass car in alt and not a funny retro samurai thing, that would be... amazing. they have really nice presence in the render, I like their unique weapons, too.

 

the lambros look like they will just alt into normal cars so that is a plus.

the only one that is leaving me kind of lost is the 2.0 fallen. but i guess he could turn into a giant evil rice cooker or something.

i will definitely grab that delta mags and whatever that big prime is. you can never have too many killer bots.

Lambros are on my maybe list, along with the new Datsuns. Hopefully you’re right about alts.

I was hoping some of these samurai bots would get slightly retooled IDW style but doesn’t look like like that’s gonna happen.

 

well the plus side is they don't immediately have bamboo shoots and clan flags hanging all over them. so i am going to hope for the best.

i am also grabbing that new combiner team. even though i don't know who the fuck they really are. i just need more combiners from IF.

also, i don't know if it is just a stand in face detail. but those weird identical faces and little pointy chins will need to be fixed as well.
