Felt weird walking into a shop that wasn't Tesco or Aldi after nearly six months

Smyths Fonthill had a pretty good selection of stuff. ER and 2020 Studio Series figures on the end cap, plus most of the recent SS86, Kingdom and Netflix stuff in the ailse itself

Was hoping to find a Scourge, but no luck

I was there on Saturday, great to be in a toy store again.

That end cap had Voyager Grapple for €15, which I thought was good value.

Siege Jetfire, Skylynx and Omega are still in stock in Smyths on Headford Rd. Galway.

They also have plenty of earthrise figures on reductions.

Loads of Siege Thundercracker, ER Quintesson Judges, Arcee, Sunstreaker, Grapple and more.

Hey guys! I'm from Germany and after some good times distribution seems to become more dire again.. Netflix Cheetor just won't show up in German Smyth's nor anywhere else.

How much is shipping from Ireland to Germany? Is there something like shipito only from Ireland? I'm glad you're still EU :)

    Hey,
It's surprisingly expensive to send a parcel to Germany.
    Approx 28 euros for 500g!!

Yikes! Thanks! That's your official main carrier right? Was it always like this or is this some sort of Corona price hike?

Yeah, that's the official carrier. I don't think it has always been that expensive. I've posted many transformers far and wide through ebay, although not for a few years now, but that seems higher than I've ever paid.
It's hard to distinguish between a parcel and a packet. If the boxed transformer can fit into a padded envelope it is considered a packet and is then only 8 euros. That's what I normally try to do.
If the box doesn't fit, it is considered a parcel and is 28€ even though it's the exact same weight.

A box up to a certain size is still considered a small packet as far as An Post is concerned. That's my experience anyway, I sold a few deluxe figures through eBay back in April and I think the most I ever spent on postage was €22 for a packet to the US with tracking

When you go into the "Calculate Postage" section, it does give you the option to input the dimensions of your packaging to see what category it falls into

No, and it's nearly impossible to get our US or UK brethren to dare ship internationally.

48!? That's a disaster! You could've actually flown it there cheaper on Ryanair
What did you sell? (nosy curiosity)
Picturing something heavy, like MP Magnus strapped into a Ryanair seat, name and address of recipient tagged onto him.

A pack of WFC transformers, flix Soundwave , Bumblebee, Starscream, Seeker 2 pack and Quintesson Judge. It was about 2kg weight, I like the Ryanair idea for future reference!!

Forbidden Planet Dublin has a bunch of last year's Studio Series deluxes marked down to €10

They also had all the usual Earthrise and Kingdom stuff. Very little SS86 from what I could see
