Seen them in Debenhams a few times too. If that's of any help to anyone.
Lots of Siege Megatrons and Optimus' in Smyths Fonthill. About four of each
Stock in general though seemed pretty lacking - About six Studio Series figures in total, and maybe eight POTP deluxes (all wave two), and about the same amount of Cyberverse figures
Siege stuff seems pretty all over the place. Unsure why they ordered voyagers and no deluxes. Seem to have a lot of the SS Prime and Starscream which clog shelves.
The deluxes are on the website, so hopefully we'll see them soon? Micromasters and Battlemasters have been spotted in some Ken Blacks too IIRC, but that doesn't guarantee Smyths will get them
Just saw that there. Weird that the listing is there but there's no release date or home delivery.
That's because Deluxes are the staple of the line and the US usually gets 1st dibs.
no sign of leader class siege or studio series on smyths website, ive officially lost hope. does smyths just straight up not bother with leader class or legends anymore (aka. the siege micromaster dual packs, or the legends POTP)
Smyths did get in POTP leaders Optimus and Rodimus for a very short time, at limited quantities. I think they generally just get left over stock that other retailers, either in the UK or US, can’t move
Toymaster on Jervis St got in the second wave of POTP legends and the first wave of the Prime Masters. They also had Studio Series leader Grimlock and Blackout for a little bit, as did Forbidden Planet on the quays. So if you’re in Dublin and looking for anything other than deluxes or voyagers you could try either of them? But nothing is guaranteed in either case. It’s really a case of getting there at the right time and getting lucky
There’s also Dublin City Comics on Bolton street, who are good for both Hasbro and Takara figures, including Masterpieces. But because they’re specifically a collector shop they’re a bit more expensive than the regular chain retailers. If you ask the lads, they’re pretty nice and they’ll order something in for you that you’re looking for, but again, it’d probably work out cheaper to buy it online yourself.
Outside of Dublin, Ken Blacks is probably your best bet. They’re like a subsidiary of Smyths or something but tend to get in stock that larger Smyths stores don’t, like the recently released Siege Battle Masters and Micromasters
Leader Class toys don't sell so well according to Hasbro. They're there for 'collectors' which means you'll have to look beyond ordinary retail sometimes.
If you're worried about ordering from Kapow / TFs express or the like they're both fine.
I've had lots of good experience with In-Demand Toys too
Not a fan of DCC, would rather import. Have heard bad stories.
Some seige sideswipes listed as in stock in some Smyths shops.
Forbidden Planet have Siege Voyagers at normal retail price, if you can't find them elsewhere.
Siege wave one voyagers and deluxes in Smyths Fonthill. Two of each character, at least until I picked up Optimus and Flywheels
Siege leaders Shockwave and Ultra Magnus are listed on the Smyths website at €55.99 each. They're currently available for home delivery, and expected in shops sometime next week
Saw 1x Siege Shockwave in Smyths Swords
(No Magnus, several of everyrhing else)
Just picked up a Hound and Skytread in Smyths Jervis, a few more deluxes and a Megatron still there
FP have a few of each Siege Deluxe apart from Sideswipe.
Smyths across the way is all but cleaned out.
Rather surprisingly, Toymaster Jervis had a random assortment of Titan Masters for €5 a piece. Among them were Nightbeat, Repugnus, Skytread, and Shuffler. Could have been more but I didn't spend too long browsing
Smyths in Naas have a few TR Overlords.
Didnt see a price.
I presume full retail.
