Though it was worth sharing so on the topic of the Junkions being a combiner at 51:07 that goes onward after for little over a minute.

Tried my best to translate what they said into words.

Mark said was: "Well I mean like the Fossilizers, it was great that in the end Hasui San actually worked out that combiner that I showed off in the end with the Wingfinger, Palyotrex, and Ractonite. Um, something like that was obviously was like a major thing that everyone was just like "Oh wow, that's really cool" and I mean why would we step away from anything that's, you know gives our fandom and our consumers the opportunity to just like run wild with your imagination, the build system is just bananas and the stuff people have been doing already with just one Scraphook or two Scraphooks is like, that the beauty of the new Junkions is that it's not only the rob. modes it's also the vehicle modes which is very different from your Fossilizers, plus the transformation sequence is solidified unlike the partsforming of some of the Fossilizers. Those are all wins on the Junkions for sure".

Evan: "It's a build system, you can build giant robots if you want" also a couple of seconds later he adds on that "there might be a few things seeded in to make that easier, I don't know"

Basically, I take it as, if there's not really an official combined mode but there is a way to make the Junkions a combiner, you just decide how it combines or looks kinda like the Fossilizers I would guess.

I pretty much agree with your assessment. At the very least, they incorporated some stuff into the designs that are conducive to forming combiners. I'm thinking they probably have at least a couple of "official" internal combined modes. I wonder if they might drop some more hints as more of them get released.

Yeah, I feel like if they do they will hint more as more of them come out. Like what they did when Wingfinger came out.

I love the Fossilizers and dinosaurs in general...wish I had space for more of them. I have Scraphook on preorder and will have to keep my eyes peeled for future releases. If they can combine in a "practical" and stable manner, I could just display them in combined mode and reduce the total amount of shelf space they occupy.

Yeah, no. Not even close other than having a chest cockpit. I still think an Energon Starscream would work the best.

They could even put a fake cockpit chest on Needlenose and change up the wings and get all four Machine Wars jets.

Yeah, I’m not expecting repaints of other toys to be close to the originals. And we don’t have a new Energon Starscream coming up. You just got to make do with what’s available and have them in the correct color schemes; allowing for plastic sprue layouts.

These were the new Machine Wars toys from Botcon years ago.

I’d rather the MW basics get their own molds (which seeing as each has like 3-4 different uses I think is possible) but if they are to be repaints I’d rather them be like ones that look similar. Having them be repaints of like Needlenose or Skytread would be no different to when they repainted Hound as Hot Shot. A weird, nonsensical repaint.

I still can't get over the fact they used Terradive for Machine Wars Starscream instead of... I dunno, FUCKING SKYQUAKE?

I misinterpreted this sentence as "I still can't get over the fact that they used Terradive for MW Starscream instead of fucking Skyquake".

I don’t think scale should matter when it comes to Machine Wars.

Oh, I’m very aware. I love all things MW. I own all of the Botcon ones and all of the originals twice (one is a complete set in packages). The Botcon ones are nifty updates, but there are a few odd choices. I just don’t see Flywheels becoming Megatron or Megaplex.

Well, the original toys had him as a basic… I don’t have an issue with him being smaller since outside of Botcon (which used the new toys they were selling) we have no real fiction depicting their sizes. So a deluxe would be fine, but a Voyager better. Maybe we need to wait for Energon Starscream to get a turn at an update.

If I had infinite money I would buy like 5 of each Fossilizer and make these massive abominations that look like something Tarantulus cooked up in his lab while on Synthetic Energon

Some of the combinations people have come up with are absolutely terrifying! I only got one of each Fossilizer...and while I have come up with a few fun ones, it always seems like I'm missing a few pieces to really be able to get what I want.

I feel like MW Megatron needs to be small, no bigger than Deluxe - mostly so we can milk the mold for Megaplex, BWII Thrust, Wind Sheer, and Air Hunter. We're way more likely to get all those at Deluxe than we are at Leader or even Voyager.
