Simple question really. Uuhhhh is all the war that happen through these movies really necessary. I mean come on. They're supposed to be highly intelligent robotic beings yet they cant even resolve the most simplest problems sometimes.

 

Tell that to Megatron.

 

Since when are they "highly intelligent?" They tend to have pretty normal levels of intelligence for sentient beings throughout the franchise.

 

Erm, that's pretty much what happens in every transformer continuity, ever....

They are just like humans. We are warlike, destructive, and rebellious. We hate our fellow man more often than not, as only a collective 200 years of recorded human history have been entirely peaceful.

The Transformers are no different. The destructive, ambitious robots like Megatron can seize power through tyranny and fear, and Megatron's origin is not unlike those of revolutionaries throughout human history. He and others of his caste were oppressed, and they rebelled, eventually turning to fear tactics and terrorism to reach their ends. The Autobots were merely trying to protect their planet from further damage.

Solving the crisis of war isn't easy, especially for a race of beings that can live for potentially millions of years. A war can last until one side runs out of soldiers or resources, until the cities are leveled, whatever. It is all about the ambitions of the war leaders.

 

They're "highly intelligent" because they're "technologically advanced". That doesn't necessarily mean they've sorted out all their social issues.

 

Its alsoreally sad  To that many generations are lost forever. You know good not really hoping there race survive by killing each other like blood curdling animals.......

 

With every Transformers series when they say that the robots have been at war for millions of years you have to wonder how. Are they just really bad warriors? Does no one have a cunning plan? Are they just really lazy and getting around to winning the war one of these days? Do they breed like cockroaches?

Sure humans can be mentally defective but even we can either figure out a way to win a war or realize there isn't anything left worth fighting over.

 

I'm pretty sure they meant they don't read in general, but you're probably right. Either way, Skids and Mudflap weren't exactly geniuses.

Also, they aren't idiots. Heck, hey came up with a whole plan on how to terminate "the Chia-Pet" in seconds!
