If you want to know all the whats/hows, you're basically going to know the last part of the movie before you even see it. You really need it that specific? No jab intended. Maybe you should put forward what your concern is, perhaps that'd be most helpful in still allowing you to actually take the most from it if you see it.

As an R-rated / 15+ cert movie you're not going to be able to see it anyways.

I saw it Friday, loved it. Not sure where I'd place it in Tarantino's repetoire rank-wise though. Will probably have to see it again (or a few more times) to decide.

It was terrible. It was one of the worst kind of story telling ever. Overly drawn out, inconsistent. Some truly awful acting, especially from Eli Roth. Some reaaaaally lame off beat jokes. I expected better from Tarantino, especially considering how effective Kill Bill was.

And what the hell was up with (spoiler)
    Austin Powers playing Austin Powers?

I liked it. It was tons better than Death Proof, but def. no Pulp Fiction.

It was actually the most 'restrained' movie Tarantino has done. His signatures were all there, but I felt he kept them in check.

There were a couple of things he changed from the screenplay, that I hope he shot for a DC. It's been a while since I read it, but I recall the words 'This sequence should be shot b&w, French New Wave style."

And this movie has nothing to do with the original IB. Tarantino is a huge fan of the original (don't ask me why) and did an interview with the director for the DVD.

I actually wished he had stuck with the Spaghetti Western theme throughout. The opening scene in IB is an obvious homage to Lee Van Cleef's first appearance in TGTBATU.

And IIRC, Mike Meyer's part was supposed to be played by Pegg, but he was already committed to Trek.

Also, Pitt ripped off my accent.

p.s. There have been plenty of Nazi Zombie movies. It was a distinct subgenre in the late 70's to mid 80's. Shock Waves was one of the better ones.

should have had less shosanna and more basterds and I too wanted more nazi killing but this movie was still pretty good lots of laughs.

Yes and the guy with the least amount of experience sounded the most authentic
Have to agree, Waltz should definitely win best supporting

If Christoph Waltz asked me how my day was I would probably stutter and break out in a sweat. Every time he was on screen it was stressful.

Was anyone else expecting a typical Tarantino-esque foot worship scene when Landa asked Bridget to put her foot on his lap?

I thought we were going to find out that Landa was some kind of depraved foot-fetish Nazi who would start sucking on her toes or something.

I was shocked that the reason he asked for her foot was the actual reason we thought he was asking for her foot.

During my usual random surfing of DA, I found this strip illustrating this guy’s opinion on I.B. Thought it might be interesting to post it here, given the generally positive reviews of the film:

Finally saw it today. It was pretty cool. I wish it had more basterds and nazi scalping but it was pretty. Was actually not expecting the movie to end where it did and was surprised to see the credits. I was like "WHAT?! That's it?" I wanted more!

I was also surprised about when certain characters died.

The best part was when Brad Pitt's character was speaking Italian.

For those who saw it do you think of Landa as a Villain or as an Anti-Villain?
