I read the script, and it blew me away. The trailers seem to have some scenes that weren't in the script I read, so I really can't wait.

I read the stories about the movie and was hyped, then the trailer threw me off a bit.
the mission with the movie theater reminds me sooo much of the orgy/slaughter scene in Conan the Barbarian.

so unless there's more Natzis being killed the old fashioned way, i might not like this so much. but i do have a soft spot for the QT's flicks.

Definite pass, even without knowing much about the plot. I just can't stand Tarantino's work.

saw it last night, i liked it. but then again i like most QT movies really. If you like his work no doubt you'll like this.

Not as much gunplay or killing as you might be led to expect, but Pitt is good and has a few pretty good lines.

Saw a midnight showing last night, and was slightly dissapointed. I gotta say it felt like the film should have been called Shoushana's Revenge or something like that, cause thats what the film was about.

The story split about 65% Shoushana(I think this the right name) to 35% Basterds. Was hoping to see more good old-fashioned nazi kiling. However that does not mean the movie was bad. It was a bood movie, just advertised the wrong way, IMO.

Also Mike Meyers was so unexpected, really threw me for a loop when he showed up.

No go for me. That, and I don't like Pitt IMO.

Went last night, it was decent but I'd really like to see QT try something a bit fresher. Almost felt like either a parody of him or some studio told another director to go and make a QT movie. Honestly they were just checking all the boxes...

    Long conversations. Check.
Circular shots of characters at a table. Check.
Overhead tracking shot of character walking between rooms. Check.
Mexican standoff followed by lots of people getting shot. Check.
Shots of bare female feet. Check.

Really liked it. Could've used more scenes with the actual...titular characters (the original "Once upon a time in Nazi occupied France" title might've suited the overall film better) but I have no major gripes otherwise. There were lots of big names thrown around as potential cast members before production began, and once the final cast came in I was let down, but they actually did a wonderful job. I don't think it's quite the masterpiece Quentin wanted it to be, for me it doesn't top the likes of Pulp Fiction, but I think it's still plenty good, and I'd certainly be damn proud if I'd made it.

Damn, that was awesome. Best QT film since Pulp Fiction IMO. It's every historian's WWII fantasy.

This film was delicious. I nearly shat myself laughing when Lt. Raine uttered his horrible "Bon-JOR-no!" after saying how fluent he was in Italian.

Christoph Waltz really stole the show for me. I don't know if I've ever simultaneously hated/loved a character more than his Hans Landa. Excellent, excellent villain and one of my favorites of all time.

Not as much as advertised. THe total screen time (About 45 to an hour) of the Basterds and their percentage of story in the film is considerably less due to the extra love story they added on top and decided to focus on. It definitely felt like two movies shoved togethor, at least to me. And if they were to have two different films there would have been better balance.

Just saw it, and damn that was fucking awesome. Definitely one of my favorite Tarantino films now. Donny and Stiglitz's scenes were both stand out to me, just because they are so jampacked with win.

It's not violent through out by any means but I'd say some of what's there is handled graphically enough to bother you if you're squeamish or are thinking of going with someone that is.

I think these questions lend themselves to unnecessary spoilers so I don't want to get too specific.
