Is there a reason why it's so hard to come by information about this figure? I'm struggling to find a product page on the major suppliers' websites and there doesn't even appear to be a thread for the figure on here.

 

It’s probably under KO MP-36. If I remember correctly there’s just a master thread covering them all. I bought mine a year ago. He might be available on EBay still if your lookin.

 

All KO MP-36 figures' threads were merged into a mega thread for I believe an undisclosed reason. Unfortunately that is the answer.

That figure also seems to have sold out at most places.

You should wait a little, the Daban version should be out soon. It has a few other accessories... not that I'm sure they are in Transformers at all (a walkie talkie and a silver rifle).

 

I'm not sure of the reasoning behind it but we're not allowed to include the brand name of KOs in the thread title. The threads for IT, THF, and Magten Megatron all got their names changed to variations of "KO MP36." Since it was confusing and unclear which one belonged in which thread, eventually everybody just settled on treating one of the threads like a master thread for all the KOs. I don't remember them ever actually being merged but I remember we asked for them to be.

 

That makes sense. I'm okay with this thread being deleted or merged.

What's this about a daban version?

 

Daban, of bootleg Gundam fame. They are also currently KO-ing 1:1 GT's Gravity Builder with 2 bots released. Their Megatron is labeled as number 9908. AFAIK it doesn't come with a back cover like IT's:-

Yeah, as has been said, the IT version has been discussed/posted about (extensively) in the merged KO MP-36 thread...

 

The Daban doesnt have eyebrows. Looks weird.

 

There are actually two KO MP-36 threads. Quite confusing. Anyway, the Daban version is a different colour and an unknown quantity.

The IT version is being rereleased shortly. I've seen pre-orders up for it on Facebook.

Are there any differences between this guy and MP-36 Megatron(Aside from the lack of an insignia, the back plate, and the kremzeek)?

 

Different deco, scratch-resistant coating, different fusion cannon sounds, a slightly different locking mechanism for the ab crunch, slight differences in the accessories.
