Okay, I just read this and I'm having trouble collecting my thoughts.

To sum up:

    Bludhaven...

    Superboy's rampage...

    Barry Allen... Barry @*%&-ing Allen!

Seriously, this issue was amazing. Infinite Crisis is easily the most incredible comic book event I've read in the last ten years. Words cannot describe how much I am loving this.

I'm just wondering who the Flash will be when the title is relaunched and how they'll start it off now that the Speed Force is gone.

Ah but with two earth's and everything being remade? Who knows what will happen and if he is really dead or not. Or if some of the dead will be brought back.

That was a great tie-in issue. Explained why all those mini-series (OMAC, Day of Vengence, etc) were related.

I don't read the Flash comics so I'm a bit fuzzy on the history ... what exactly happened there? From what I sort of know .. the Speed Force is the source of the speed but also some sort of heaven for the Flashes? Wally disappeared into the Speed Force along with Superboy, so they're gone? And what's up with Jay saying the Speed Force is gone?

On the other hand ... a contest of nerdiness ... can anybody name ALL the people that Superboy killed?

Krypto: Either has its jaw or neck broken from a kick by SBP (hope it's just jaw :(  )
    Pantha: Decapitated by SBP's backhand
Red Star: Frozen by SBP's ice breath
Wild Beast: Heat vision blast that blew apart his chest
    Damage: Ripped off arm
Bushido: Cut in half by heat vision

    Hope that covered everyone.

This issue elicited several colorful metaphors from my mouth when I read it.

After seeing what Superboy-Prime did, I think Superdickery will need a section devoted to Infinite Crisis by the time the story is over. Good thing the Flashes totally owned him, but I have a feeling he's not gone. And I'm worried about what happened to Wally and Bart. I know it only happened once, but it feels cliche to kill of a Flash during a series with "Crisis" in its name.

I've been giving some thought to Earth-2 Lois Lane's failing health. I think Alex Luthor is behind it. He said that he and Superboy-Prime were able to carry out their plan while Earth-2 Superman was preoccupied with taking care of Lois, so wouldn't it make sense for Alex to cause her ailment to distract the one man that could stop him?

The only problem I had with this issue is my lack of knowledge of the DC Universe and its lesser known characters. For starters, I had no idea who the heroes killed by Superboy-Prime, or the heroes that showed up with Barry Allen inside the Speed Force were. Speaking of which, I don't know enough about the Speed Force to understand how it can be gone.

But all in all this series is getting pretty exciting, especially with #5's cover.

That was Risk, not Damage. Obscure old Teen Titans member.

The two with Barry were Max Mercury and Johnny Quick. And, sadly, I don't know Flash well enough to understand the Speed Force. On the other hand, that made the Barry Allen cameo a lot cooler than it apparently was for .SentinelPrime Is Dead. :p

    My bad.

But after seeing how Geoff Johns is treating all the B-List characters in Infinite Crisis and the lack of editorial control on it I bet he could virtually purge the DCU of all B-List/Second Rate characters and DC's big people could care less. Seriously, the amount of freedom he's been given is mind boggling...in a good way at least :thumbs2:

I think the massacre of B- and C-Listers is just a warm up. It's like the original Crisis on Infinite Earths. They buttered us up by killing off a bunch of minor characters like the Losers, then when started taking out major characters like Supergirl, Flash, and Wonder Woman.

Mark my words, we'll have some big names in the ground by the end of this.

i can see it now....who will be Flash when the title gets revamped...both:

Introducing EARTH-1 UNIVERSE LINE and EARTH-2 UNIVERSE LINE

so that means, each title will have a E1 title and a E2 title

double the characters, double the titles, double the money....DC is smart

....but i think Barry Allen will end up being the Flash after this is over (They got SHOULD-BE-DEAD-DUDE Hal Jordan hogging the GL titel....now they'll have another one)

As the DCD solicits show, this isn't the end of Superboy Prime, not by a longshot.

I know, but one can dream... :)

Long-time DC readers: did the IC writers faithfully portray Superboy Prime or were they deliberately trying to get me to hate him even before I knew he was a bad guy?

    Was he always that annoying?

I'm not a long-time DC reader, but from what I see this isn't contradictory with anything. Superboy Prime was only in two or three issues before he wandered off with Alex and the Kents.
