Did anyone else think that the car the boyfriend drove was a transformer...I mean I though it was an autobot that was in disguise. I mean it was all artsy and looked like anything but a normal car, anyone else think it was an autobot?
And the car first shows up with no driver then Shane came out of nowhere. And while driving the car, Shane even said he has never driven this good before. As if like that was supposed to be a hint that he had help pulling all that fancy driving off. And later after Lockdown had killed Lucas, the Sonic was gone and should have been caught in the blast. It sure looks like the sonic was intended to be a TF at one point but they cut it.
I kept thinking it was because it's in the toy set and they just kept showing it for frames and frames after they abandoned it. I thought the guy was a hologram driver at first.

i agree. those two parts.. the showing up for the first time.. and definitely the "i've never driven this well" (or whatever) definitely made me think it was a transformer.. possibly one that will reveal itself later.
When I went to see the movie the second time at Imax, it was one of the scenes I was concentrating on. The Sonic was definitely empty, and it shook, not just sat there, it was like it was revved and my mind transfered that into being anxious. Further when Lockdown bombed them and Lucas was killed, there were no remains of the Sonic, nothing. And this was on the 3rd biggest imax screen in the world! So I agree I think the Sonic was intended to be a transformer, but someone changed it.
I can understand the ad but it was shown a lot more before the shot for the ad part would have definitely been when it was in good condition not when it's windowless and trashed. I'm still pretty sure it was setting there after they ran away.
Another thing I thought was funny and just Bad editin i think, was when the rally fighter smashed into the side of the Sonic and the window broke, why was the side if the Sonic nod also smashed in? Not even a scratch on it lol.
Didn't Bay also said the Sonic was his favorite vehicle too? I would imagine something like this would be "Bays" neat little Transformer for kicks.
Rollbar is a one step changer and in the Breakout Battle set which is more like the car in the movie than the other one. I know I'm buying them.
