RIP Sir! Was listening to Rush this morning, and found out the terrible news hours later.

RIP Neil Peart. Rush is my favorite band. I was lucky enough to see them 4 times in concert, the last one being a few years ago on their final tour. His book 'Ghost Rider' has helped me a great deal in dealing with the loss of my girlfriend last year from cancer. I'm shocked he was able to keep his illness private given the age we live in. I'm glad to have seen him perform. We'll always have the music.

Learning of Peart's death hit me like a ton of bricks. Greatest drummer ever, imo. R.I.P. to the master!

I’ve been taking a break from social media so I just heard about Neal Peart late last night. He was never one of my favorite drummers but his influence on my personal drumming and the playing of many, many others is unmistakable. I’m heartbroken for sure. I’ll have to spend some time listening to my favorite Rush tracks this afternoon.

Well, depends which one you liked. Apparently this one isn't the one who was in WCW back in the day.

Every since Friday night when i found out about (The Professor Neil Peart) I've been a little sad. I'm a drummer myself and he was a HUGE influence and why i started playing back in 1986. He was a HERO to me in so many ways in his approach to drums all the way to his drum set up. I will admit though his passing felt like losing a friend that you never knew and shed a tear for cause of how much his drumming and he himself meant to me.
