Remembered wrong. There was a rumor when it was revealed that it would be priced similarly to the Rainmaker 3-Pack and I hadn't heard anything to the contrary until now

Nice to see some in hand images of this set. I'm glad a pre-ordered it. The original was one of my favorites growing up.

Looks good. A bit wobbly looking in camera mode... but these are Hasbro toys, so some QC probs are to be expected... sadly. I just hope the final product is solid, cause there are a ton of 3P alternatives at this point.

The extra parts are definitely nice, as I think they'll make the camera mode better. But "Refraktor" is a terrible name! :banghead:  Stupid legal trademarks.... I could almost ignore the title, if not for the obnoxious font on the front of the camera. :rolleyes2

I mean, I still like this set, but... yeah, it's a few years late, imo. I imagine the fandom would have gone NUTZ some 10 years ago... but now? It's a Hasbro attempt on a 3P product! :lol  Although, to be fair, this is the special toy version, which has not been [re]done before (to my knowledge), so this set is definitely more relevant than the regular release of "Refraktor"! :)  But seriously, Hasbro... why didn't you make these toys 10 years ago??? (Oh yeah, the sh*tty Bay movies prevented it! Thank God Michael Bay was able to "save" the franchise and prevent these products from coming out!).

I have got to get this set next month for my total of 2 complete sets. I'm really excited to get this set since this will be just as good as owning a g1 set in my eyes. I'm glad to own the first animation set already and next month this toy set.

In Japan's case they still managed to use the name Reflector, and not Rifurakutaa. I hope no news of the SG-EX set of this.

I photoshopped the toy heads onto these guys, and tweaked some of the colors. Planning to mod these guys once I get them.

Looking forward to a Toyhax sticker set to proudly have "REFLECTOR" written out in camera mode. Even "REFRACTOR" wouldn't have been bad, but it just looks so wrong and silly to me with the "K" in there. Sometimes I wonder about the names Hasbro comes up with to get around the ones the can't use.

I always did think it funny that G1 toy Reflector had his name written up there in the first place considering they were supposed to be robots in disguise. :)

They had to go with "Refraktor" because "Reflector" and "Refractor" are actual words and thus harder to hold on to the trademark.

I definitely understand the why. I was mainly trying to express that I wish they had been able to pick something less silly-looking, is all. I wouldn't have minded if it they just called him something else completely. Mind you, I'm still bitter about "Skrapnel" and other prior questionable choices as it is. I don't need it to be a real word, but would like something less ridiculous. But, of course, we all know what the real name is supposed to be and that they've gotta do what they've gotta do in order to sell it.
