The new SS OP makes the SS ROTF OP completely obsolete, the new SS movie 1OP can combine with Jetfire while the ROTF from the looks of it can NOT, I wonder if the tooling will be Carried forwards into the SS Leader DOTM OP allowing for it to combine with Jetfire AND it's own Flight tech or whatever it comes with ???

They look pretty good. I'm impressed with Bonecrusher alternate mode.

Still need to look better pics of Prime combination. I know will be hard to superate the glorious ROTF Leader Optimus Prime, not expecting that, but will be nice to see a fresh new approach.

 

Yeah the original prime is far outclassed by this one. I never even liked that one to begin with. Due to its flat chest not really portraying the movie design. I think you’d be great if you even took the swords and put them here. They may have to go upside down but it’d work fairly well. At least be able to recreate bonecrusher’s death.

 

I really wish hasbro/takara would stop giving us elbow joints that bend inwards in relation to the fist orientations already. In fact, all TF designers official and 3p. Move away from this already. It's so much more of a hindrance than any lack of ankle titles could ever be.

It's everything I ever wanted in an updated Movie Bonecrusher. The only thing I still want to see with this guy when he comes out is a series of comparison pics with the original Deluxe,just to see how much bigger the Studio Series version is.

 

Yeah. And have him supporting the old one with comfort. It’d be so cute.

 

Straight on Bonecrusher looks a bit goofy, but I am sure it is 1. Better posed and at a different angle, and 2. Beats the deluxe by miles. Really need to pick up Brawl in the near future. Only really "need" Optimus to link up with Jetfire. Not a big fan of the shoulders, and already have way too many Optimi from the movies.

 

This Bonecrusher is hands down better than the original. But looking at this next to the soon to be released Dream Factory version (which I am absolutely getting), I'm suddenly less sure I'll be getting this one than I was. We'll see where further pictures leave things.

 

I think he means Bonecrushers fist and elbow style. If the character were holding a staff and their elbow was bent, the staff would be horizontal, not vertical.

 

Damn they both look really good. So hyped for Bonecrusher.

 

Sorry I guess I wasn't being very detailed in my rant.
When the elbows bend, the hands should be oriented so that if it was holding a gun, it would look natural. If this bonecrusher was holding a gun and bent his elbows, the gun would be sideways.
What's worse is that in this orientation like on this bonecrusher, the hands are less like a clawing beast and more like a shovel with the longer fingers at the bottom instead of at the top.
I think this type of arms on TFs have sometimes been called monkey arms.

 

Oh yeah. I see what you mean. They call them gorilla arm syndrome I think.
Heartily agreed. I don't care much about ankle tilt though it's a nice feature, but they should really stop this.

Bonecrusher is still way too small, and he has curling iron arms...

The backgrounds are also pretty lazy. They just reused the same thing instead of doing a two-part diorama. That would have been a lot cooler.

 

He's juuuuust at tad longer than his predecessor in vehicle mode. SS-05 Optimus Prime is 16.5 cm long.  

 

This makes me happy. The new Prime looks much better than the ROTF one and Bonecrusher finally got the update he deserves.
