Menasor is total speed metal (rock'n'roll is great too  ), all the vehicle modes, the melee weapons (which I wasn't sure about first, and can always be swapped for a gun) totally work. Dead ends exhaust pipe looks deadly, can just imagine it all covered in energon after a face bludgeoning. Damnit, I want this combiner now.

 

All these recent comments have me grinning. I love the outlaw Viking biker gang death metal vibe Menasor emanates. You guys have noticed it too from the first pics.

 

Oh I actually like the Legends version. I think the way they handled the legs and the fact that he is 100% kibble free to merge was amazing!!! Plus the individual bots look amazing for legends class figures. The only thing that ruins it for me is the arms and their complete WHAT THE FUCK look of it. I know Beast Wars's Tripredacus had a similar arm structure, but with more successful results

 

Tripredacus was awesome. I wish I owned it or Magnaboss.

 

Haha, true enough. I was able to get some pretty good limbs using the weapons as extra connectors between joints. I just stopped liking it really quickly because I wanted a huge Abominus, and individual modes with more articulation. If they had scout class articulation that woulda been great.

But yeah, bit back on topic, I plan to do the straight leg stance, and maybe twist the thighs around if that helps with hip articulation. I also plan to get the PE upgrade, although I am not 100% just because I first need the regular version in hand, then need to see the pieces actually connected to the gestalt before pulling the trigger.

I like the fan mode in the pics, but I feel Dragstrips arms on the shoulder could be in a better spot. Not really thinking about adding blackjack in there, but keeping the chest closed instead. I do want blackjack tho, coz I like him in both modes.

I'm more afraid of what the Takara version will look like. They're already doing a 100% G1 homaged looking Superion (Complete with Slingshot), I can only imagine what they'll unleash with this guy.

 

Kind of had to use rock as a substitute because not everybody understands the whole rock/metal thing. Ozzy is technically heavy metal and I listen to him most these days.

Yeah, I really want this Combiner to come to me. At least I have Dragstrip in close reach but as soon as I can, this Combiner will make a nice display with (terrorizing) my Autobots.

With my 3/4 of a Superion on display currently and looking at Dragstrip just dangling off my Menasor, yeah totally getting the PE hands and feet for both.

Man the Stunticons look great as individual bots, more so Motormaster, imo. But boy does Menasor's combined mode look like ..............   Stumpy torso + combined modes with big legs and hands.. 
.. hmm, somebody's gotta fix that horrible combination, somehow.. 

 

Now I'm starting to think how Menasor will look with the Knights of Unicron set. Pics if possible.

 

For my its a buy never had a Motormaster \Menasor and would like to add one to my collection.

Yes it not the best representation out there but on a budget I think hasbro have done well.

The proportions are very Unicron-ish. It's not a slavish G1 homage, but that should have been clear to us from the moment they made Wildrider a truck. I'm just happy we're getting more combiners.

 

Not Wildrider. Wildrider is coming in a later wave along with Slingshot and is most likely a retool/redeco of Deadend or Breakdown.
