I like this interpretation of his horns more than the usual chevron crest his toys always seem to get. Seems more evil, as often times Autobots have crests while characters like Unicron get horns.

 

Maybe $360 on your side of the pond, they sell for £350 over here in the UK so if i wanted him it would set me back $538 USD ...this Lonewolf upgrade is the perfect solution for me to have a cool looking Menasor a lot cheaper than getting the Fansproject version

 

Yep worse case over here in the UK motormaster at retail is £22 + £64 for the 4 limbs + £10 for Blackjack = £96 or $147. With sales and discount codes easily take 10-25% off that.

So the question is, are 3P options worth 3.5x - 4x as much to the UK collector? To some yes.

To me personally, nope as I can get a set of each of the first 3 waves plus change when buying the official releases. Across each of the 3P equivalents, there is $1000 left in my pocket.

Lonewolf will attract several, especially those that want a more G1 look to Motormaster than what the CW is. But I will admit, there is something about that fig that keeps nagging at me in the wrong way. Maybe it's "too" G1 for my tastes. Eh, I still dunno.

 

I don't hate it and I'll be getting the whole set, but I plan on getting the Lone Wolf "Motormaster" and primarily using that version for Menasor, because I prefer that look over Hasbro's.

I honestly don't think this is on par with Superion. It almost looks as if two different design teams worked on them.

 

Shipping, import duties, customs handling fee, vat, retail profit margins...it all hits us.

Depending on whether you buy from a UK seller e.g. Kapow etc or import there may be a small price variance but on 3P high value items there is no cheap way to get them.

Like Prescient said but also Hasbro and these 3rd party company's think $1 is the same as £1 so we end up paying alot more for figures

 

So much rage over Menasor. Meh. I don't care. I still want him  . The kicker now is that I wasn't aware of Bold Form's Lonewolf until this thread. I saw him and was like, "well that could be worth it... possibly..." So it's now gotten me into thinking about waiting till April to see what's what with him. He looks better and taller but is he going to be worth it?

Still I think the overall look of Menasor with his legs straightened kicks ass.  

 

menasor's head is the best head i've ever seen. not getting all the hate for the horns. they are hard plastic so they would be easy to color black if you wish. you can also turn them up or down to make them less obvious like optimus.

 

Really torn on this guy. There's so much G1 in all of them, even down to how they transform (and Menasor's extreme thigh gap lol). But the end result is somehow... not there. Superion manages to capture the lankiness of his G1 self while still being cool. I dunno.

edit to add: I think the lack of an abdomen really hurts Menasor. BUT - I can't hate him.

I've already preordered all 6 members of the team, and will do the same if/when Wildrider is available. Cannot wait to have a new Menasor.
