Indeed, the price is in no way justified now. He should have cost no more than MP Rodimus.

The plastic so far is quite durable and the only die cast is a thick piece of metal that is located on his spine that connects to the waist

The trailer on the other hand is made out of THICK plastic an is one durable sunnofabitch.

so far every MP has got a domestic release minus Megatron (legal reasons), Magnus (probably too expensive to release a "white Prime" at retail) and Thundercracker (but they released Skywarp and Starcream) so it's really not to big of a stretch to guess we'll at least get a "cab only" version of MP-10

How does it compare to MP1 and is it a lot more durable than MP Rodimus? Rodimus felt initricate, the Seekers are okay, MP1 is a brick and MP Grimlock was very durable.

Furthermore, is it worth picking up? Is Spike the same size as a Human Alliance driver or Dr. Arkville from MP3?

I have transformed him 4 times already, still holds solidly. Plastic especially on the leg area is very hard plastic. He is sturdy and doesn't feel brittle anywhere. He is not as heavy and cumbersome as MP1, plastic feels stronger than Grimmy and the Seekers. Joints are grade A top notch tight.

Spike is smaller than an average human alliance basic's human figure. But damn, Prime scales nicely with CHUGS. (to me at least)

But the trailer.....damn the trailer. That is one tough box.

Good to know that his forearms are adjustable. It bugged the crap out of me that New Prime had monkey arms in previous pictures.

That said, the latest round of photos shows off his horrendous feet, which just look ridiculous to me. I'm not crazy about the bulk in his lower legs either and the lazy/halfhearted engineering to hide his wheels (taking cues from the Classics Voyager mold there). Something about the head sculpt still doesn't sit right with me either. It's too.... round? His oversize on MP Grimlock isn't as pronounced as I thought it would be but still feels wrong in my eyes.

Faith Leader will continue to be my default Prime. I may pick up New Prime once he sees a US release. But the $250+ price tag for the Takara version is a definite no-go.

How are the fore arms adjustable?? I don't think I've seen this, and unfortunately my phone is just about dead, so searching is limited.

I wonder if him and MP grimlock were meant to fit in with CHUGs all along. Can Spike fit into MP3?

Are there any ratchet/detent joints? I prefer them over ball joints. Also, how easy is he to transform?

Yeah, in the side-by-side picture, I'm not seeing the huge advantage that MP10 has over MP01. This is a pass, especially at $250. I'll probably buy one if Hasbro releases it, but I'm not even sure about that any longer.
