    Ugh!
More repaints, less original molds... more passed up opportunity.

    Pass.

Well...I guess since i don't have them yet, i'll buy them. but i feel they should have been labeled as "Energon Series". Way to destroy a G1 homage series,Hasbro.

More repaints does not mean less original molds.

Repaints cost Hasbro virtually zero resources, while an original mold uses many resources: time and money for development and engineering, money for casting new large metal molds, wharehouse space for storage of these new molds.

Because Hasbro made a repaint does not mean they could instead just decide to do an original mold instead and that these resources would magically appear in their ledger.

On the contrary, with little additional costs to produce a repaint, repaints actually help Hasbro by generating more revenue for them to later have more resources to create more original molds.

Big pass for me. These are poor excuses for combiners! There are way to many retools/repaints in this new "Universe" line for me anyways. At least I don't have to be a completest with this line. So far I like all the New molds in the Universe/Classics Line though.

Superion looks really cool, however, I just noticed that the clear plastic weapons/hands/feet are made of different colors as Bruticus, rest of the color scheme is still cool enough to buy it though.

Now, Bruticus in the other hand, looks like a knockoff with those horrible colors.

Very nice. Not my favorite gestalts, but the individual 'bots rock. Plus the packaging is beautiful!

There is no Energon Computron. And its about time the Autobots get outnumbered at some point.

Seems like Bruticus will have red and orange clear parts and Superion will have blue and light blue. Kind of weird. I wonder what Hasbro will do with the Prowl mold after Silverstreak and Smokescreen come out. They seem like they keep using a mold (starscream mold seemed like we would never get tired of not even with Acid Storm) until they get the fan cry-out of "What another repaint" "This sucks" "Why not do a whole new mold" when in reality by now we should all know and expect it's gonna happen.

Either way these guys are most likely passes for me unless they are on super sale at Walmart for $15 each

I really hope we get more club Classics comics. They've stated that the Classics Constructicon Hightower is a new character and Hook & Mixmaster are gone. Airazor is a new Aerialbot replacing Slingshot... I can definitely see the club doing something with it.

Actually think I'm looking forward to these, if for no other reason than to try kitbashing some decent hands & feet for them.

Anyone have any links to these kit-bashed decently?

And IIRC you could flub some OK articulation out of the molds by adopting some unconventional limb formations, saving grace? Ehh... we'll see. :inquisiti

o_O  Apparently we both did. I remember seeing this repaint when it was leaked, but since it's disappearance I thought it was just a phony. Go fig.

Wait a minute, if we already got a Universe Silverbolt, who's that bloke in the box...?

Silverbolt. There's also a Legends Silverbolt released recently. They're just different bodies for the same character.

Both are on my want list seeing as how I missed 'em first time round and I'm in need of combiners. As for Bruticus' odd color scheme, just be thankfull they went with something close to G1 instead of G2 Bruticus' blinding neon colors...

    Not my problem.

    Again, not my problem.

Will they make pure money from no effort? Perhaps. Time will tell when we tally the re-painted shelf warmers at the end of the day because people, like myself, won't buy them.
