Paypal will more than likely want you to take it up with Ebay and the seller in that situation. Paypal doesn't like to refund money. I once had someone hack my account and spend $1000 in one day. Paypal then refused my claims of fraudulence, claiming the purchases were normal to my activity. Nevermind the fact it was $1000, to stores I've never bought from, and shipped to an entirely different state.

Basically, if you have any doubts this $800 item is authentic, you'd be better to not buy it.

Never rely on a seller's photos or descriptions on eBay. Research first, not after. The fact you can't tell one way or another is a good sign to lay off. If it's a vintage G1, iamratchet is one of the few that not only can spot all the KO variants in seconds, but also refuses to sell or even possess any.

Using PayPal Credit doesn't change the protections, or lack of, on a transaction. It's actually a great option for situations like this - but again, if you can't tell, don't bother. Not only would you have to override a seller's rejection of the claim, you have to have concrete evidence to back up your claim, which is not easy to do. Wheeljackslab screwed me years ago by sending me a completely different item from what I paid for, but he even threatened to sue me if I opened a case lol.

Sorry to ask here but not wanting to start a new thread. Preordered ft thomas through aliexpress and seemed legit. Seller had 5 left. Preordered. Next day he had 98 left. Seems super scammy so I asked for a refund. This was Friday. If I make a claim with PayPal will my refund be quick considering nothing was mailed?

I am guessing you know ft Thomas isn’t due out until (possibly) October. If the seller has some type of window for shipment, you may be sol until that date has passed, unless the seller comes down with a bunch of negative feedback.

Yes I do. I requested the refund under the pretense that its not the final price. Just got notice from PayPal that I will get the money back. No small time store is gonna get over 100 ft figures so yeah I figured it was a scam
