For some reason I think this is the coolest thing on earth. I'm more excited by it than any of the actual Gurren Lagann figures. There's just something kind of nifty about it. Basically, it'd the kind of thing that Hasbro would be never awesome enough to do, or do right. But any idea where I can get one? They're out of stock everywhere. HLJ has them backordered but I don't like dealing with HLJ - their "processing" adds about a week onto shipping time over the other stores. Any ideas? Also wouldn't mind that MMS Yoko - it's in scale with it. All we need now is a Kamina figure. And err, MMS Yoko to be rereleased again.
What exactly does it have over the upcoming Revoltech or diecast Konami figure? I wasn't familiar with this one at all until you mentioned it. I'd suggest you get on the backorder list for HLJ ASAP - it'll probably take long enough anyway that you might find one in stock before HLJ restocks, but at least you have a safety net if you don't! I had a similar experience just yesterday with the Revo. Mazinkaiser. I'd been waiting since the new year began for them to restock, but found one in the US only a couple extra cents shipped, and only cancelled my HLJ order after that.
Impact Model Series Lagann is -awesome-. Huge, very solid, wonderfully bright colors. http://silencer82.blog99.fc2.com/blog-entry-72.html Also, MMS Yoko and Boota are in scale to him! Ish. Impact Model Series Gurren Lagann is also nice, and apparently often overlooked as a modelkit (he's actually just a very nice-if-small ABS/PVC action figure). I need to do photos of both at some point.
Oh! I Googled for it, and for some reason wasn't thinking about the name, so I was actually looking at the Impact Gurren-Lagaan. Bah. The Impact Lagaan is awesome! Only thing he's possibly missing is another face, maybe a surprised one as seen in the first episode.
Lagann only has the two faces (stoic and !!). And looks vaguely creepy when you have neither installed.
Go Boota! SCIENCE. That's odd. Processing at HLJ.com usually takes a day if they're not on the weekends or vacation.
Do I have to pay to backorder it? The full amount or just put some down? Also, anyone made a custom posable Simon figure out of the Simon included there? Anyone know if there's a figure I can easily do a leg swap with? I was thinking of cutting off his leg section, maybe drilling a hole in so I can have interchangable legs. They wouldn't even have to be posable, just standing. Adult Simon figure would be even cooler. Is there even just a normal standing Simon figure? In a "neutral" pose. I had this idea for a GL comic using this, MMS Yoko and an inevitable Revoltech Kamina. Though I guess I could just have Simon always in Lagann. The idea is kind of to explain GARLOCK, by having a sort of Turn A like reset. Maybe in this reset, Simon was crippled in a drilling accent and Lagann is his wheelchair.
You only pay when the item is in stock and ready to be shipped. There's also going to be a set of GL gashapons released in March. One of them is Simon standing in a neutral pose. http://www.hlj.com/product/KNM13485
I'm holding out the complete Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann that fully transforms into each different mode that is never going to happen. So I might pick up something else is what I'm saying, but I dunno.
wait. that mecha has the power to pierce galaxies! How in the world are we gonna even make that? at smallest it would be roughly 24 inches big in order to fully eject every freakin mecha inside of it.
Ok I know this is an old thread and sorry for reviving it. I just found out about this one and found that most of the usual places even EBAY doesn't have this for sale. Anyone able to point me in the right direction? Thank you?
