I'm going nuts here ... Using the Imgur app, is there anyway to post to the boards? I can only get the bbc post links when using my desktop. I can't for the life of me find anything that works on the app. Thanks!
There will be nothing to share directly into an upload / posting process here on the boards. I am unfamiliar with the IMGUR app itself, but generally, look for share options on a given pic, then look for copy URL or something similar. You can then paste that url into a browser window of the Boards while creating a post.
Appreciate the reply. Yeah IMGUR is what I've used for years here on TFW, on a desktop, there are link options for posting on boards ...for some reason, those are unavailable on the app. :/ grrrrrr I can upload the photo on the app. ..but then I have to run to a desktop to post it on the boards.
Unfortunately that seems to be an issue with the app itself, which I can't change. Other than completely reworking TFW to be an app with IMGUR integration on the back end, which isn't a real possibility :/ Here's an idea tho - use the IMGUR web interface on your phone's browser instead of the app. It may offer share options once fully uploaded that way. And if not, you can go to Settings in the browser pull down menu (top right, three dots, etc), and "Switch to Desktop Mode", which will give you the full desktop page, on your phone. It'll be small and squished but the links should be there.
Totally understand man! So yeah, I tried that, and ready for this....??? The browser version on your phone forces you to download the app before going any further. D'oh! I give up. lol
It's a pain in the ass for sure, I hate that, however there should be a way around that, either in browser via page or in phone settings. I can't say exactly how, but if you have the energy can look for that. Other angle is maybe try opening new mobile browser tab, switching to "Desktop Mode" first, then visiting imgur.com, so the first landing there is in desktop mode. Might bypass the app pop up.
