I was a bit disappointed because I think I expected a different kind of song, but all and all I do still like it.

I'm loving the eerie-ness of the beginning! I like the song personally. :)

I'm not hearing where people are saying that the song is "off beat" or sounds like two different songs in one, as it sounds perfectly in-sync to me really. It also fits with Age of Extinction much better than the previous songs did, as it has the benefit of being produced just for the movie; Whereas Linkin Park already had their songs out and established before the movies were made. All-in-all, Battle Cry is a very, very good song that is a new, fresh, and much needed change from Linkin Park.

I think that a lot of people here are just listening to this song as merely another rock tune, and not on a much deeper level than that. The slow, mellow-dramatic beginning with the aimless and hopeless-sounding ooos goes together perfectly with the dark, lost, and hopelessness that AOE aims to bring. Autobots are being slaughtered left and right by the race that they worked so bloody hard to protect, Optimus has lost all hope in humanity and is a shell of his former self, and the remaining Autobots have all had to go into hiding out of fear of being taken out. Then once the song picks up and reaches its peak, that's most likely when the Autobots rise up, work together with their new human friends, regain the fighting spirit that they lost, and build a new army IE: the Dinobots to fight for, and protect humanity once more. The "battle cry" if you will.

I like the song but I gotta admit I was a little disappointed there were barely any words only oooo or background music(which I liked) and I wish they stayed with Linkin Park but with a whole new trilogy I understand.

What a steaming pile of horseshit.

I like Imagine Dragons, I like Hans Zimmer, I like Steve Jablonsky. Altogether it should've been an amazing experience, but what I received was caterwauling most foul. Just a bunch of "ooohie ooohie ooh ooh" to the tune of the Autobot music used in the first film, followed by a dude screeching the same chorus over and over with perhaps one whole verse throughout the entire 4.5 minute song. Fuuuu...I feel ripped off. -_- What a horrible piece. It's not even a song!

As much as I didn't like Iridescent, it was at least a full song, along with the other Linkin Park TF offerings over the years. This is bullshit.

The chorus gets you pumped and then leaves you hanging through the same shit over and over, and now it makes me wonder if the movie will be the same way. Damn it.

When I first heard radioactive, I hated it. I could not stand it. it took a while to grow on me. I just heard battle cry, and I am not that into it...yet. I am sure with time, I will like it, just not after the first few listenings.

You'd think with that chorus, it'd have been more of a rock song but no. It's not. It's fucking imagine dragons version of iridescent. So, yah, it does sound cool, but expect the remixes to be better than the original.
