Surprised this wasn't posted here yet. But yeah, they're doing a Grimlock statue, pretty cool looking one at that!
Pose reminds me of a slug with legs but these things are usually much better looking in physical form than rendered.
Looks like they've gone for a more scientifically accurate T Rex pose, rather than the more upright animation pose.
Wish that they just did digitigrade legs instead of the weird reverse knees to go with the more scientifically accurate posture, but this looks really cool overall. I love the style of these statues in how they capture the cartoon designs while updating and detailing them in very clever ways. Also, it's Grimlock. So it's automatically cool.
Neat! He looks like a T. rex as if someone was only working off a vague description of one, which I think is rather appropriate. "Looking good, Wheeljack, but T. rex had even smaller arms." "WHAT?! That's ridiculous. This planet is ridiculous. I'm going home." Hehe, I'm assuming it's unfinished (or specifically, the tail was originally pointed up and they changed it last minute), but I'd like to think they've stumbled upon anti-gravity sorcery.
Looks like some weird slug or intestinal parasite. Glad you guys like him, but it just looks odd to me. I don't understand what they were going for here. G1 Grimlock, TFA Grimlock, FoC Grimlock, RiD Grimlock, AoE Grimlock, I like them all. Not this.
Not bad, I like the heavy detail in the joints like in his legs and arms. Stuff that would have to be there it he was real. It's just the head for me. It's feels small and the shape is off.
A poster board at a convention has shown this to be a diorama with the Sharkticons and Wheelie. Looks great.
