Eh, I Hope That Is THE Not Final Colors, TheY Look Off. I Do Not Support These Kos At All AND I Understand The Draw Of Them For People, However They Are Just Not Something I Support.

Part Of The Fun Of Collecting G1 20+ Years After Is FindING That Mint Original Gem. A Brand New Ko Kind Of Takes Away From That In My Opinion.

Hrm. I purchased a complete, perfect condition, original G1 Gnaw about 4 months ago on eBay for $60 shipped. Did I luck out, or are these guys seriously overcharging for KOs?

    Because:

    A. Online shops like BigBadToyStore, Fortmax ,Transformerland & Wheeljackslab are greedy pricks that always charge too much OR are always OUT OF STOCK.

    B. Because of the movie there's a false bandwagon fan hype going on so most of the Ebay auctions are going too high. A lot of newbs are bidding too high without knowing how high they should bid.

    C. The average fan (including myself) can't possibly afford a MIB C-10 Hasbro original. $80.00 is too high for a loose one, but it's not so bad for MIB.

    D. A loose original is usually missing the tail & the tail is a bitch to find.

I can't afford a MIB C-10 original Hasbro 20+ year old Transformer & I'm sure most of us can't. I need to replace my entire G1 collection, I might be able to afford one original MIB but not 50 or 60. Being rich must be nice. Unfortunately most of us aren't that lucky.

Do you want the value to go up so you can make profit in the future? Or do you just want the toy? I want the toy MIB. I actually don't like having TF's that are valuable or rare because I have to be extra careful with them, don't want anything to break or get any dents in the box. Some of us aren't in it for the money/value, some just want the toy.

Also, the fan community deserves to know what's out there in order to make an informed purchase decision. That's why we frontpage KO news, regardless of our personal views on supporting them.

Exactly! I wish I could afford those, but I can't. A MISB G1 Hound just went for $400+ dollars on ebay. I want it, but I can't afford that.

I want the Toy. I do not do MISB anything.

But a KO in a sealed box is bullcrap because *ANYONE* can make a Knockoff, and then make a box and then seal it in said box. Which means it has no value.

And in 3 years we are going to be lousy with people complaining about fake 'official' auctions with KO MISB bullcrap. And we are going to see this garbage AFA graded.

*IF you want the toy, you can get complete Sharkticons for 50$ or less
*IF you want the toy MISB, then the knockoff has no value to you because it isn't real.

So I don't see the appeal and why they should be supported. People think they have the RIGHT to own transformers. They don't. By buying knockoffs you hurt the ability for us to get official re-issues and screw up the ability to get a real COMPLETE original.

    Knock Offs are an abomination.

And to know that there are going to be horrible knock offs presented as legitimate figures like the "ASIAN REISSUES" all over ebay now.

exactly. I'm just posting what I found. It's not nessesarily for you to approve or argue about.

I want as many fans as possible to know of these KO's, especially those who may new to collecting, they have a right to know and beware before they buy.

Another KO pass. I'd rather pay around the same amount for a vintage one in good condition.

I also hope he's Encore'd. That would be sweet.

Eh, I never really cared about the Sharkticons. Cool for those who do though.

Obviously not. Has/Tak has not reissued this toy. And if you say Gnaw is not popular, then you forget that they also reissued Wheelie.

Maybe. Although I doubt AFA is going to grade a "Dinobot Bomander" as a real G1 Grimlock.

Unless the prices goes down to "Buy 4 G1 Sharkticons for the price of $20!!!!!!!!!!111!!!!", then my army of custom Movie accurate Sharkticons won't see light at all.

What is keeping people from making KO boxes and putting anything in them and calling them MISB?

Anyone can make a box, put something in it, SEAL it and call it MISB.

Don't you see a problem with that concept?

Keeping a fake toy in a sealed fake box to display as real in your collection seems to defeat the purpose of collecting. And that is because I think many of these "I WANT A MISB COLLECTION EVEN IF IT IS FAKE KOs" are people who are morally questionable to pass them off as real when they feel they can get away with it.

If you were buying to open and re-live your childhood, fine, I can at least understand that, but what is the pride in displaying fake garbage as real in MISB no less?
