Hey fellas, I've both seen and heard that Powered Commander, or Diaclone pre-Ultra Magnus, made an appearance in a comic this past TFConn...

Can some shed some light on this, you know give me low down what the story was about? Anyone make any wise cracks about him looking like you know?

The comic was written for TFCon by our own member Protoman and drawn by Alex Milne. I believe Josh Perez did the colours but someone please feel free to correct me.

Powered Convoy was thrown into the story as a nod to the TFCon exclusive from a few years back which was the Fansproject Commander Armor in Powered Convoy colours. No specific mention of the character or Ultra Magnus were made.

The story was tied to this years exclusives regarding the captured Decepticon Headmasters breaking out of prison. The universe Onlsaught look-alike above (centre stage in panel one, and alongside Powered Convoy in panel two) is Stronghold - essentially Fortress (from Fortress Maximus) before he upgraded himself into Fortress.

The other exclusive this year, Headrobot's Toxin (a repaint of the cobra model) was shown killing an Autobot Headmaster and stealing his Transtector (a recoloured Chromedome) before escaping with Zarek and the others.

    Hope that helps.

oooooh..... So this was more of, what could be considered an "alternate" reality story then? Ok so is Fortress technically the transforming head of "Fortress Maximus"? I ask because I do get what the Japanese Headmaster schtick was; the little robots are actually the "real" beings controlling lifeless, headless bigger body versions of themselves right?
