    MORE PICS AT THE BOTTOM!

Confession time: A little over a month ago, if you asked me what Omega Supreme was, I would have either guessed a new offering from Taco Bell, or a delicious pizza from Pizza Hut - seriously.

I've been on the search to pick up a few super nice pieces for my new humble little Transformer collection. It has been a learning experience - not just about what is out there, but also for learning what I like and dislike.

Because I don't have a whole lot of nostalgia wrapped up into Transformers (I didn't dash to the television saturday morning to watch them, nor were my Christmas/Birthday wishlists stacked with TF goodness) so the pieces I pick up have to have incredible eye appeal to me, or some sort of gimmick that makes it stand out.

Aside from the fact that very few "stock" Transformers appeal to me (though I LOVE the concept regardless!), I've searched high and low for impressive stock/custom/repaint pieces that catch my eye. I normally come up swinging and missing. A few pieces I found that I fell in love with were the Shuraking and cell shaded G1 Devy / battle damage G2 Devy, but what else?

I learned of who Omega Supreme was by seeing him in many of your collections out there. The menacing size/look and ridiculously awesome hand weapons simply cannot be overlooked. The thing that stuck out to me most were the road piece wings!

I toyed with getting one for a while, but didn't think he would fit in my collection. Then I found this guy (pics below). This is probably by far my most favorite looking Transformer with the weathered treatment that I have ever laid my eyes on! The pictures make him look 100 feet tall, 100 tons and made of grimy metal. My son LOVES him and my wife is creeped out by him LOL.

It is so realistic, you think you will have to wash your hands when you pick it up. It is very tastefully done, too! To me, it is just perfect - there is plenty of attention to detail in every nook and cranny that I found.

So, with all that to say, I present to you: Omega Supreme Grime! Omega Grime Supreme? Or Grimy Omega Supreme! Yeah, let's go with that one (for now). I didn't do the work, but it is in my collection now - and I couldn't be happier - It looks like a museum piece to me! :)  Every square inch of this figure could have a hi res picture taken of it, and used as an incredible background picture!

You can apply it with a thick brush and then wipe it off or use a fine brush and apply it to panel lines.

There's stacks of youtube videos on doing washes in scale models or warhammer minis.

Yes, I know the ones for panel lines etc. but I'm interested in the ones around jutting out parts/greebling so the black is on a smooth open surface. How it doesn't look like black water stains.

Cover the area with the black paint or wash then wipe it away with a wet wipe (baby wipes are great) leaving the bit you want

    Thanks, guys :thumbs2:
I'll try that. But what about the soapy liquid of the wet wipes? Won't it interfere with coats?
