Ok, I live in Austin Texas and i've noticed people on several boards scoring huge TF giveaways (Free pretty much) on Craigslist. Who thought it was for something other than Prostitutes? Anyhow, I did my search and wow this guy posted a ton of TF's for sale. He says that he will bring them in a bucket to my apartment and I can pick and choose what I want. I've got first "dibs" he says and that some dude in California offered him 30,000 dollars already. I didn't laugh to his face about the money part but what do you think is a reasonable offer for this stuff? Obviously, i'm really only interested in the G1 stuff. I can see some Terrorcons, Constructicons, Headmasters, Punch, Optimus Primes and other G1 stuff. My question is... how much should I offer the guy for the G1 stuff? He says that some of the Headmasters have heads too! Of course, if you live in texas hit me up with a PM if you want to come over and help. The only thing that has me kinda on the fence is that this guy says the stuff has been locked away for 15+ years but obviously from the photos you can see a classics Cheetor. any advice? Oh yeah, should I hide my collection? My girlfriend and I just got a place together and my toys are sitting on the built in shelves by the front door. Its the first thing you see.
Where do you see a classics Cheetor? (universe2.0?) The date stamp on the pics is like 5.5 yrs old. If it were me, I'd meet that guy at a public place. And I'd only offer on the TFs I wanted unless, he wanted/needed to dump them all off at once. If he's thinking of number over a couple hundred dollars (maybe), than he is seriously mis-guided. $30k is obviously a lie. Thats my first red-flag. If he's a card carrying member of the local needle-exchange, than thats strikes 2+3. It looks like you got a chance to get some g1 TFs here. The prices I'd pay would vary based on condition and complete-ness of the figures. If this guy doesnt know a whole lot about them, then try some lowball action. If he feels like they are worth more than you do, then make offer(s) on just what you want. Obviously a Headmaster with head is worth ALOT more than just a body. Use common sense and you should be ok.
Don't let him in your apartment. Meet at a restaruant or other public area. Never invite strangers over. Didn't you learn anything from your parents?
I'm guessing its just the default settings of the camera since its labeled as 1st of Jan, which tends to be a big give away
Loose. parts everywhere. The majority is beast wars and beast machines and the g1 stuff he has seems like the common bits like silverbolt and blaster. I'd only offer him $300 at most without feeling ripped off.

$30,000 is far too much he is trying to rip you off buy only those you want or offer no more that $500 for the works as in the way they are stored to go by the pics anyway id have worries about condition
wow. know one in their right mind would pay 30 thousand dollars for that. he obviously made that up so you would want to buy every figure u even like just a little bit, just to give you the guilty concious that its now or never. trust me those arent going anywhere
lol yeah. I just don't know where else to meet? I'm going to ask him if we can meet in a target parking lot then. That would probably be better. ha ha. Yeah, I completely didn't think of that. My girlfriend today was like WTF!!!
Just an update..... I only got 4 things... A left Abominus Foot The yellow guy from the Terrorcons. Forgot his name Superion head G2 Devastator Shield THe guy met with someone before me and that guy snagged all the good stuff. sucks...
