yeah there are pros and cons with each rhinox's back, kingdom's rhino kibble is more flush and the back of the legs are covered unlike t30, meanwhile the t30 doesn't have a noticeably hollow back

There's clearly a gap in the same place on the Kingdom version (how big, we don't know yet).

The photo was to reference the build of the shoulder area anyway, not his side profile.

Only the rhino head and chunk of hide.

Exactly the same as T30.

Not sure what else to call small hollow spaces other than gaps (recesses? voids?), but yeah, at least it's in the back, so they did pick the most sensible place to put the hollow bits.


......I'm really not getting the "YEAH, BUT" arguments going on with this Rhinox Wars debate.

Neither figure is perfect.

Does Kingdom Rhinox look like 7 years worth of engineering advancements over T30 Rhinox? No.

Does it look like a serviceable figure in isolation? Sure.

T30 Rhinox's back doesn't look that much better compared to the new one if you ask me. If you took out the back kibble on T30, the back still looks uninspirinG.

Edit: I didn't see the back kibble on kingdom Rhinox good enough. My point on T30's back still stands though.

 

Same here. As someone who's overstepping my mainly MP boundaries (aside from using the ER Battlechargers as stand-ins), i'm going for the Ark, and already have plans to paint up Mainframe, who was the main reason I ended up pulling the trigger on the entire set. Though i'll easily grab myself a properly colored Mainframe if it indeed comes to fruition.

Hell, I already bashed the little guy as to kinda visualize for myself what i'd end up working with, haha.

 

I agree that there's not actually that much between them.

Kingdom looks worse around the shoulder area, but who knows whether he looks better under the rhino kibble...he might (wouldn't be too hard because T30 isn't brilliant in that area), or could be very similar.

 

Just don't buy it then?

 

Yeah the shoulders do look off. I don't think Hasbro did a solid job showing him off compared to say Rodimus and Galvatron yesterday. I will wait for more pictures or a video review for a more definite look.

At this point I'm just preparing myself to have to make him myself. They've milked the other WfC car types to varying degrees. But I heard "no" a while back, so I guess it's up to us then. I don't think he'd be too bad, but those purple windows I think are out of my talent range.

Also a Alternators "Dead End" out of ER Sunstreaker would have been really cool. Him and Loudpedal could hang out on shelves pretty well with the black dominated color schemes.

Kingdom Rhinox's face is reminding me of Armada Demolishor, due to the chin strap and the unlit eye in that premotional image, and some Ganondorf for some reason.

Yes, they were Thrust, Thundercracker, Skywarp, Sunstorm, and Redwing. The only one with an actual listing so far is Thrust.

 

They suck. I noticed that watching the video live.

 

T30 was able to do it though.

 

I hope they do re-release him separately, I certainly would buy it. I'd imagine that the computer screens might look a little different. Infact which computer do you think they would emulate... Maybe Moon Base 2 or Jazz's computer.... or another obscure reference.
